We are trying to convince his fabricator to punch out a bunch of those radiator side-block-off plates for the 2012s once he's got the design down.

Watson makes a kit for the '13s but not for the '12s :( Hopefully we should have a first article to look at "soon".

Glass is out of the car, fabricator is still eliminating the deadener mess.

He is producing a few custom items for me (and will be making templates for more):

Custom splitter hardware to lower and continue the splitter further back

Radiator block off plates

Possibly a front tubular bumper with pickups for the support rods

Rear supports for wing/trunk pass through

Jacking plates

Custom center dash insert with cutouts for factory buttons etc.

I should have more info on the cage soon, he plans on taking it to the shock towers (surprisingly legal in nasa and pasa), also he is twisting my arm into possibly removing the package tray altogether.


On the engine front, no real movement outside this possibility:
Ford racing is offering the CJ intake, cai and dual 65mm as a kit under a single part number at a surprising discount.

I'll leave you guys to guess what I did with that :)
 
I see you cut away the speaker area. When I had mine done they cut away a good bit of it. However, they left a cross member there to mount the aluminum block off to the trunk. See pic-

Are you going to leave the trunk area open or are they going to make something to cover the trunk area?

Trunk will be open unless I install a fuel cell down the road, in which case the bulkhead will be a horizontal false floor, removing the spare tire well to mount the cell.

I'm very happy with how this is going so far.

Not a lot going on but a few changes:

The CJ65 has been traded out for a SCJ monoblade throttle body (per AED's preference)
Taking off the whole WC splitter kit, and replacing the factory bumper beam with a FR lightweight one (since it integrates the hardware and tow hook kit)
Ordered a few more gaskets I had forgotten about (this should please ArizonaBoss)

Other than that, no updates to share on the chassis side of things outside this interesting picture, lol:

Mmmmmm...gaskets.

What's he up to there? Cage landing/ballast plates? Or maybe he's making mounting points for giant plinth blocks for your 28-point rollcage :)
