If a bad PCV was oiling down the motor, this may be your fix.

With the cats we have, it is possible that oil can pass through the motor and be burned in the cats without producing smoke. It happens.

Good luck with the swap.

Something to consider here, at Mosport Kurt's car started dropping cylinders, the engine started overheating and went to 250 plus even out of the draft, we looked over everything, o2 sensors, pulled plugs, checked inlets and crawled all over that car, in the 2nd race it got worse, we thought we damaged the engine in the first race so, as a matter of course we ran the car on the dyno.
The motherfreaking rear abs sensor was activating when heated and causing the car to go into limp mode off the corners..........

just sayin'

A lot of debugging I do at work seems to end up like that...something unexpected/bizarre causing the issues. Was this with the traction control in any other mode than fully disabled? I had my 2011GT suddenly go into limp mode on the dyno once, even with traction control disabled.

FYI, the second o2 sensor cleaned up my idle and made the car run like new again.. Especially noticeable at 50-70% throttle position.

So to summarize what worked

1. Eco-boost pcv
2. Two new upstream o2 sensors.

Nothing else directly made the engine run well again.
