While enjoying a fine track day at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colorado yesterday, I got aggressive coming off the oval into the kink and spun the car in the first 180 degree turn. (Carrying too much speed and turned in too late) No damage to the car and I managed to keep it on track. The car died and wouldn't start and they were getting ready to tow me but she decided to start after all. As I started heading to pits, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and none of the gauges were working. The messages I was getting were many, including check electrical system, advance track needs servicing, -- (zero) miles to empty, etc. Got to my trailer and shut the car off and she just wouldn't restart and everything was lit on the dash. Threw on the OBDI reader and it shows no error codes. The car just wouldn't start. I had to disconnect the battery, waited about a half hour and she would start and everything including the dash seemed normal although she didn't quite seem to idle correctly. I shut it off and she wouldn't start again and all the light came back on. The only way I could get the car started was to keep disconnecting the battery for at least a half hour, but after starting clear again, she would not start after I turned off the ignition and reverted back to the Christmas Tree mode.

NOTE: I turned all the nannies off before going on track but do think they kicked back on during the spin. I have the Boss 302R/S ABS module but have yet to put it in.

    Any thoughts?

Not sure why it would let you start but my first thought is it's the fuel inertia cutoff. There is a reset button under dash by the kick panel forward of the hood release but I'm not sure where the cutoff itself is. Probably in the truck spare tire well.

Good luck Tyme, remember this happening to a guy a couple of years back, but no help as unaware of the fix. Coz's idea sounds pretty plausible , let's hope that is the quick fix?

Whenever this happened at the track, we'd start looking for grounds, the fuel inertia switch is also a good call, I've reset hundreds at minor accident scenes over the years, but I don't think that's it this time.

    An update to my issue.

After repeatedly trying to start the car to no avail, I disconnected the battery for an hour and she started up and I was able to load her back onto the hauler. I got her home and let it sit overnight (Battery connected) and I'll be dammed that the next morning the car started up without issue and started subsequently without any of the aforementioned problems or warnings. It was as if nothing happened to the car. Same thing another day later. It seems as if the gremlins left the car. I'll give the car a good looking over this long weekend and throw on the FPRR Boss302R/S ABS module. I can't help but think the TC came back on as I spun and it freaked out the PCM.

Glad to hear she's running ok. I wonder if a KAM clear would have resolved the issue.
