Tramps like us, Baby we were born to run...
While enjoying a fine track day at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colorado yesterday, I got aggressive coming off the oval into the kink and spun the car in the first 180 degree turn. (Carrying too much speed and turned in too late) No damage to the car and I managed to keep it on track. The car died and wouldn't start and they were getting ready to tow me but she decided to start after all. As I started heading to pits, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and none of the gauges were working. The messages I was getting were many, including check electrical system, advance track needs servicing, -- (zero) miles to empty, etc. Got to my trailer and shut the car off and she just wouldn't restart and everything was lit on the dash. Threw on the OBDI reader and it shows no error codes. The car just wouldn't start. I had to disconnect the battery, waited about a half hour and she would start and everything including the dash seemed normal although she didn't quite seem to idle correctly. I shut it off and she wouldn't start again and all the light came back on. The only way I could get the car started was to keep disconnecting the battery for at least a half hour, but after starting clear again, she would not start after I turned off the ignition and reverted back to the Christmas Tree mode.
NOTE: I turned all the nannies off before going on track but do think they kicked back on during the spin. I have the Boss 302R/S ABS module but have yet to put it in.
Any thoughts?
