Exedy dual disc clutch

Bringing this thread back, I thought this Exedy twin disc that @blacksheep-1 installed was the "Exedy Stage 4 Twin Disc" clutch kit but that no longer seems to be available? But there is this "Exedy Hyper Twin Series Organic" clutch that looks very similar, are these the same thing? https://www.americanmuscle.com/combo-kit-amm-466428.html

@blacksheep-1 are you still liking this clutch? This is for a 2011 GT stock drivetrain, 200K, replacing original clutch, my aim is to fix high rpm lockout while keeping a light pedal for street driving. Thanks.

I now have a Exedy Hyper Single in my 34,000 mile 2014 GT. The new clutch has a total of 1k miles, broken in per instructions and now 3 track events at Gingerman and Mid-Ohio.

Driving around town is overall an improvement. You can’t be lax when moving from a stop as with a heavy flywheel but that is the only downside. Release and engage points are higher, effort change is not noticeable. On track is a big improvement; no missed shifts, up and down shift at all speeds work like it should. I did separate clutch reservoir, new OE t/o, braided fluid line. Also an MGW shifter.

I'm very happy with this clutch, I never thought I would, but it's been a great clutch behind a blown 5.4 Shelby

Forgive me for the following tangent into physics.
They all gotta reach the starter, so flywheel mass will give you a pretty good idea of the change in MoI. Aftermarket clutches don't have larger diameters than the stock one, so a difference in clutch weight will generally understate the effect on MoI depending on the diameter you end up with.

I haven't chosen my flywheel, yet, but I'm expecting to see about 25#+ total weight loss off the stocker (Clutch + flywheel). I don't know what that turns out to MoI without taking some measurements, but it's pretty bloody big. It's cool to hear someone else's experience doing it.

If anything, it makes it easier to match revs on downshifts.
