I don't doubt it for a second. Your accolades speak for themselves. I work with many folks just like you. It just helps me to build it in a 3D environment first so I can move it through it's full range of motion (if applicable) and mitigate problems.
I have a really good engineer here onsite these days. What an invaluable resource that has been.
We collaborate on concept, design and specific applications and processes and between the 2 of us have had many very successful endeavors.
He has reversed engineered some of my machines and generated print packages that make reproducing them waaaay simpler.
I'm a concept guy in R&D, most everything is a one off, but a lot of what I do these days is shipping worldwide and used for qualifying specific processes so they all have to be the exact same machinery and he has made this a LOT easier. I can hand a stack of prints to my son and he builds stuff with little help/input from me and thats been amazing.
I'm afraid I'm getting spoiled.

Got my @AJ Hartman collapsible splitter rods just in time to go racing this weekend. Man these are nice pieces.
Being a well seasoned splitter smasher I’m going to give these a nice stress test come Saturday.
Will they survive the abuse?
Stay tuned.

How is it going sal?
Well, the bad news is the winch in my trailer doesn’t work. The really bad news is that I needed it today.
Too bad, we had the fastest car, couda been a much better day than it was. 😩 but, I got to hang out with some great people and chat with Randy Pobst. What a nice guy he is.

And now, it’s time to go home.

What happened?
I won’t know for sure until we get the motor apart but I think I detonated a piston. Shouldn’t have used that year old e85, probably had some water in it. I went 1 1/2 laps including the out lap and boom. Had 100 psi oil pressure so shouldn’t be any damage to the bottom end but who knows.

Oil pressure is 3rd from left. Still showing 100 psi as I’m pulling off the track.

Sorry to hear. You guys put a lot of effort into these cars and motors. Sucks to see them grenade. Part of it I guess. We’ve had more than our fair share in the ChampCar. We have one more race this year. If we make it through both days it will be the first time this year.
