Well it looks like there are no exedy hyper singles to be had….cars gonna have to sit again. 😭

But did I miss something? Maybe its a throwout bearing?? Were you able to confirm its the clutch?
Well, it’s not the master and the throw out bearing feels normal.
I assume it has to be the clutch, and if I’m pulling the transmission, I’m putting a new clutch in it anyway.

Laguna Seca, 9/14/24 SCCA Race 13

That was fun to watch! Found myself yelling at the ungodly aberration of a electric shoe box you had contact with. Found myself giving him the finger as you passed him. Can't wait to get back on the track some day.

On Sunday he ran another guy over in a way more obvious attempt to block. Several guys were bitching about him but me being the first victim, I was the one chastised for it, even after I showed the official video from my catalyst which has a much clearer view with the camera on the windshield.

Here we go, he’s either blocking or just not paying attention. I guess he did this to several other cars as well, and when called on it, was a total dick about it.

Total Dick! Cant see well in the video, but does he have any mirrors or are they just tiny??
I don’t know but he was bragging that with an electric car with no roof he could hear every car perfectly, where they were and when they would shift or hit the brakes and what an advantage that was, so….don't tell me he didn’t see/hear them. He told the guy he hit in this video he should be driving a golf cart….everybody was wrong but him. Typical nasty self entitled jackass.

When I watched the video I thought he was leaving it open so you could go on the inside then all of sudden he just decided to go for the apex of the corner. He was inviting you to go for it then changed his mind.

Exactly what I told the official. He disagreed. I told him “where is the doughnut? On his door, I was in there” he said no, your windshield post needs to be even with his windshield post to which I said “that’s bullshit”. I argued with him until he finally walked away. Don’t know what happened after that but I never received a penalty.

I had a guy like that at this years Mid-America Shelby Meet. He had me by probably 100HP+…probably closer to 150. He could easily pull away from me in the straights. I was out braking and out cornering him in every turn. Right at the absolute last second he was coming over on top of me. I could literally see his face in his door mirror. Not once did ever check to see if I was there and my front fender was on his door every corner. So frustrating.

That was like following a drunk driver. Squeak by when you can and floor it to make some space. Wonder if he was dealing with electromagnetic radiation frying his brain from the batteries and electric stuff .... A little more track time for him and his head will probably blow up like a frog in a microwave. Or complete pecker head. Maybe both.....Ha

Geez, even though it has been years since I was running Spec Miata, that little incident would have never caused an official to call you out. Looked like a racing incident to me and Mr. Energizer Bunny was your typical " Blockhead " so many of us have encountered at many a race. Nice job dispatching him and it sounds like he will be on major notice at the next event. Do you have any races at Thunderhill before the end of the year?
