My Second unsuspecting victim.
Poor guy sat in the car shaking for 30 minutes when we got back to the paddock.
You can see him give me a thumbs down just before we pulled off the track. He'd had enough. o_O

GOOD TIMES!

Give the guy a break Sal, he made it all those laps with you and kept his cookies, ha! I had a guy who was going to be an Instructor with a burgeoning Driving Training Group only make it 3 laps in my Spec Miata before he motioned for me to get him to the pits where he ripped himself out of the straps, stumbled a few feet and spewed all over the asphalt. He never became an Instructor and the second guy they placed in the lil Miata was able to make it 4 laps before he asked to go in, but he had me drop him off near the restrooms. Neither of those gentleman had the metal to Instruct anyone and your guy made the ride with you --- I give him Kudos, thumbs down and all, ha!

This guy had previously jumped out of an airplane and jumped off a bridge with a bungee cord, I didn’t expect him to be the one to get nervous. I guess you just never know.

There is one more video to come with a 3rd. rider….stay tuned.

Looks like the refreshed gear box is working well. How does it feel?

Similar to your experience , the first guy I mentioned in my Spec Miata was a long time Superbike racer, so it was a big surprise! I hardly ever had anyone get ill when riding in my Viper ACR or my Mustangs, so overall speed is not always the main culprit. I look forward to your third Installment in the Frankenstang Ride Along Trilogy!

Shifts fine but it filled the clutch and bell housing with ATF.
I can’t believe it but I’m going to have to pull this thing out AGAIN.

o_O What happened? Did the throw out bearing fail? Or just a loose hose?
No, the clutch started slipping and when I put the car on the lift ATF was pouring out. My brand new clutch is now soaked.

The throw out bearing uses brake fluid not ATF - it had to come out of the front seal of the transmission.
My new zillion dollar transmission. 🤬

That or it was over filled and foamed up the fluid out of the vent...JS Was the fluid inside or outside?
Not overfilled and the breather and everything outside was dry.

Yeah, well talk about mission impossible, I ran into the pastor at church and he's booked a ride in
Superbeater next weekend. The wife is shopping for a shock collar as we speak.This..this could be difficult, especially if something fu... err I mean something unforseen happens.

fluid out the front of the case can only be a couple things: If your case was drilled on the side for a cooler loop, that's definitely suspect 1: the cast area for the "feed" isn't truly flat and is a real, real pain in the ass to modify (I've done 4 of these now), one had a bit of a leak until we could refine it further.

Otherwise there's the seal on the input shaft. Otherwise (assuming the same transmission series and OEM front plate), there's nowhere else for fluid to get "into" the clutch bellhousing short of a cracked plate (its pretty stout). The good news is you don't need a press to get at it, the bad news is the mid and tail case have to come off, so a few hours and cleaning will be involved.

Not me….its going back to the guy I paid thousands of dollars to rebuild it.
