Curious if anyone has plans to install GT350 wheels on their Boss?

The Ford price is insane  at $16,000 for a set of four?!

It will be interesting to see when drivers start totaling their R models if the wheels will be had for more reasonable pricing...

If you in the market now here is the link http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/PartDetail.aspx?n=eboMlsHlQDqyaAXQHYw05Q%3d%3d&id=351931167&m=2&search=true&year=2016&make=Ford&model=Mustang

It looks like the MSRP price gap ($13.5K) between the base 350 and the R model is mostly wheels...

I would love to have the black carbon wheels on my black LS for track days, but pretty certain $10K+ in driving enjoyment would not be felt.

Anyone have experience with ultra light weight wheels? Any major differences felt?

Thanks,
C.H.

The GT350R wheels weigh 16 or 17 lbs, right? If you have stock LS wheels, that's about half. I think you'd definitely notice it, especially if you push the car hard. With that said, you can get far, far better bang for the buck for $10k than a set of wheels. What do you have now for modifications?

The CF R wheels weight approximately 18 lbs and the stock cast aluminum non R wheels about 33 lbs each. It's no secret that lighter wheels will improve performance. Many of us have the R spec flow form wheels on order from @Need4SpeedMotors They should come in around 25 lbs each.

Thanks for the feedback. No significant mods yet, but I do like the look of the Boss R BBS wheels at 20lbs but the custom wheels posted above look great as well.
