Do let us know what the best solution is.

Still researching a way to elegantly cut power using low current cables. The best solution I've found so far is the Cartek solid state isolator:

The only downsides are a) Cost and b) The S550 has a current sensor on the negative battery cable that would likely need to be relocated as this device uses chassis ground. Still researching...

I like it Nick. Are you saying the current sensor on the negative cable won't allow this to shunt the ground? That would keep current flowing bypassing the unit.
No. To make this work, I'd have to attach the existing battery cable to the chassis, Then I think I'd have to move the current sensor from the existing negative battery cable to the (new) ground cable between the battery and this unit. My logic is that since there are many other chassis grounds, the only place to sense total current from a ground cable would be at the battery...

Yeah. All the other mustangs weren’t. The rest of the S550 aren’t vented. Just the GT350 Togo with the vented fender and oil coolers and brake ducting up front.

BOSS is a classic in both Metal and Verbiage....

Nick, you gave away a GT350 owner secret.

I'm surprised you're using them. Don't the race cars omit the fender liners?

Sometimes -- But there's delicate stuff in there -- wiring harnesses and brake lines. The GT4 uses the back half of the liners, and I'm using the full liner initially as I will start out with the GT350 Brake cooling ducts that use the front half for support....
