This. Don't the spec cars run in the 1:3x range in competition?

So, check on dates for early in '15?

I guess Borelli's main SMG driver, Addison Lee is running 1:38-1:39 in them. So the cars are capable, just needs the right driver!

Addison is the local Mustang hot shoe and I've talked to him about hiring him as a coach for a day. Maybe I'll do that if we pull this together.

My money is on Gary even in an apple cart. I will also try to scrape together the money to rent a ride and get out there. Early '15 is best for me too.
Steve
I just spit all over my screen laughing when I read that. BTW, what the hell's an apple cart?

Summit Point is listed twice - once under East and the other under Southeast.

Steve, I'll see you there next month!

Barber Motorsports Park (8/3) Temps in the high 80's.

Boss 302: Best Lap 1:44.2 on Nitto NT-01's

If i could've had a consistent transmission that would allow smooth downshifts from 4th to 3rd every lap.. could've shaved a second or two off of the time.

Going back in September when temps are cooler, so look for a slightly lower lap time to report!

That looks like a great track. I hope to drive it one day.
If you're running an MT-82, check out Blowfish Racing's new shifter bracket...should solve missed-shift woes.

Here's Dean Martin cranking off a couple laps in an FR500C in 2010:

great video! I've seen it a few times... Barber is one of my favorite technical tracks! I saw Blowfish's shifter mount.. I have been contemplating ordering a New Tremec XL for the past couple months as my trans is getting worse with every track event. My dad has already had his replaced and is back at dealership now for his 3rd tranny. Our cars have right around 5,000 miles of track only on them and his trans wont even shift into 4th gear above 35mph..

At barber, my downshift from 4th-3rd is almost impossible after about 3 hot laps.. and at Road Atlanta it's just the opposite it won't UPSHIFT from 3rd-4th on the back straight away without FORCING it as hard as i can (i've also done it slowly, doesn't work either way)... These aren't 'missed shifts' these are transmission issues once the temps get hot (after a 3-4 hot laps).

Needless to say, we are tired of the trannies, and will be ordering Two Tremec XL's in the near future.. I've sent Steve a note asking him if his bracket works on the FRPP/Barton Shifter, if so, i'm going to give it a try before ordering the tremec (and dropping the $5K)..

If you every make it out to the Southeast Tracks, definitely give me a heads up!

Luke
