LOL I need to start burning corn ;D

We finally made it out to MPH today to get a few test laps in. Lessons learned very fast track, one screw up will take off seconds. Need to refill every 2 sessions or anything under a 1/2 tank or will have pickup issues around corners 8,9,10.

Stock 2010 Z06 ran his best time today 1:359 with street tire, believe F1's. He rode with me and gave me a few pointers which helped smooth out my corners I just need to put speed to them and grow some kahunas and brake later.

Great track and great people there, can't wait to go back.

That's a really fast lap on street tires but the Z06 is a track animal in stock form. Yea George runs a great operation.

Made it out to Thompson again today. Best actual was 1.25.9. Best theoretical was 1.25.6. Quite happy to have shaved almost 2 secs from last time out!! Backed up the quick lap with a 1.26.1 right before so I trust the numbers.

Setup: 2014 GT track pack, suspension, street tires 300 treadwear, stock engine, Pagid pads.

No bosses out today but was a GT500 that was well driven.

Lime Rock Park 7/25/14
CJ Intake/AED Road Race tune
275/305 Continental slicks (worn)
1:03.91
Pretty accurate Traq Dash and transponder had it at 1:03.89, just using iPhone GPS. Ran with IMG Racing. heading back tomorrow and may put the 285 sticker Contis on the front. Had 2nd best TT lap overall and led 2 out of the 4 sessions.

LOL trying to get used to Harry's Laptimer. Cool app
Steve

Update of my Lime Rock weekends best lap time and fastest verifiable PB.
1:03.32
Conti DR GT-R compound 285/305
And a video that is actually watchable from Harry's. (Which is great BTW)

Theoretical Session best was 1:01.75. That is the lap I need to see 8)

Congrats on a new PB at Lime Rock Steve! 8)

Why did the G meter on Harry's turn yellow sometimes? Does it turn red if you break loose and are sliding into a wall? ;D

I think it goes yellow when you exceed 1g.
Thing does so much that I don't know anything yet, hence my upside down film from Friday. iPhone, $20 app and you have a pretty good data logger camera setup. I am getting a Bluetooth GPS module and a Bluetooth OBD II device and will have much greater accuracy plus can integrate the PIDs for all the parameters. So for about $359 you can have the functionality of a $2000 AiM or Traqmate system. And the damn this is pretty accurate in basic form, it was off on time and speed by very little, maybe .05 seconds and 1 mph slow compared to the AMB transponder and the TraqDash. Worth a look for all track rats that want to record lap times and integrate video.

It's a great app. The default threshold for Yellow is 1.0g, but you can change it.

Also depending on which version, you can compare laps, and zoom in to specific parts of the track to compare time, speed or g force. Transfer from phone to tablet for easier reference.

Plus with the BT OBD link you can log Coolant temp, Fuel and several other data points when you download the log file.

Also most tracks are loaded with the sectors set to "info". Go into the map and change them and you'll get sector times.

Very nice Steve! You need to get the BT1 OBDII thing so you can get all the fancy additional data overlay and much more accurate speeds. But the video looks great, and you're lapping really quick there!

1:24.2- Hallett CW. This is about 4 seconds quicker than when I drove CW back in April (track surface was brand new so things are much better now). I've been trying to see a 1:24 the last few times I've been out and never thought it would happen going the backwards direction as most people are usually slower. Not the cleanest lap (botched 2-3 shift) but sometimes that's how it goes. Oh and I slide off track right after the fast lap. Carried way too much speed and understeered right off into the grass ::) This was my first time driving the car with no rear sway bar (stock GT front bar) and I was really happy with the way the car felt.

Achieved a new PB at BIR Long (3.1 Mile) on Saturday of 1:48.1, about 2 seconds off my previous PB. Interestingly, when I look at the TrackMate data this lap did not have any of my fastest segment times. Still plenty of room to go 8)
