I used to have mine in the second-to-the-lowest position, but recently moved it to the same position you are in now to try and balance the car a bit better.
Unfortunately, I was at an unfamiliar track and didn't get a chance to do a real comparison vs. somewhere I'd driven before.

I'd probably leave the watts where you have it now and drive it a bit more, but the additional supercharger, intercooler, and fluid weight you are carrying up-front with the GT500 is definitely going to make the car more prone to understeer. At least you have the aluminum block.

Yep she is big boned I'll try the slow in fast out in June when I go back. Thanks for the help. Good luck racing this year. Have fun!!

Soory about the shaky vid and non sync on speed( hopefully hides
a lot of my mistakes). This was my best time at the Glen

Awesome track. I'd be so intimidated by the Armco. Yeah, I'm spoiled with wide runoffs

Totally agree! The Glenn is a very intimidating track, reminds me of Slot Car Racing!

One thing for sure, the track sure looks great this year.

Be safe out there,

Hey Sean I was just there this past week and your gonna love it.
It's smooth as glass!! A lot of grip , so chased pressure all the first day, very high!I ran there last year with Michelin SS,but with bad weather both times.
This year I had the addition of NT01 all around and my times were quicker.Hope that kinda helped.
Goin back with Pheonix CMR in June is that when your goin?

Thanks Rob. The track looks great in your videos. Gone are the horrible bumpsin the braking zones going into 1 and the bus stop! That should allow for some later, harder braking. My car would kick the back end out all the time in both spots...at 130+ it causes quite the pucker!

I will be there with Phoenix. Can't wait! See you there.

Ran with Black Magic and 2012-Boss at Mid Ohio in the '16 "Red 21", best laps of 1:43.96 and 1:43.90 neither quicker than the 1:43.79 that "White 21" did last year but these were Continentals and that was on Hoosiers. Car is very quick, need to solve differential cooling issue though. 2012-Boss was right on the pace after day 1, staying right with me lap after lap during yesterday's sessions.

Finally getting around to linking some video from Mid Ohio a couple of weeks ago. Had a great time there in dry and wet conditions. Ran the club course with chicane. Stock Boss 302 with Conti slicks and MM camber plates. The video below shows my fast lap of the weekend at 1:45:20. No where near as fast as Black Boss or Voodoo Child 21, but hey it just shows I still have room to improve [a lot of room].

Ran Lime Rock with the 2016 'Red 21' yesterday for the first time this year. Ford M-5300-X springs, Track Pack shocks, Conti 285/305 slick, GT350 manifold, Corsa 3" exhaust, and GT350R wing.
Weather was a problem, had one morning session that was bollocksed up by traffic and guys running in an advanced group that should have been in novice. (2 Z28s, a Viper and a C7 vette will post related video), anyway, rained out two early afternoon sessions but got in a session on a wet/drying track then corded the 305 Contis I had up front. Put fresh (2 cycle) 285 Conti S5000 slicks on the front and ran my all time best of 1:01.87
Please turn down sound since my iPhone 6 has been recording poor audio with Harry's lap timer.

Just had 2 days at Palmer Motorsports Park this past Monday and Tuesday... ran the Toyo R888's both days and had good success. I'll try to post video later. No personal bests or anything, but they were grippy and fairly consistent

Wow, you guys are fast! Glad that I know my place on the track, Novice!

I need to make a concerted effort to join a group and get track time in to improve my driver skills.

I do admire you guys/gals and those PB's being posted here, one of my favorite TMO threads!

Thanks so much for posting some great race vids.

302 Hi Pro

Just got a 2:20 at Watkins Glenn. 285/35-18 Bridgestone S04 pole positions on SVE Drifts. Only changes from last year are Watts Link, LCA's and 13 GT500 rotors. Ended up smoking the fronts so I may need to go up a compound. Was running XP12s F and 10s rear.

Nice driving. How did you like the watts link?

LOVE IT!!! Way more traction, predictability, and stability. Only issue i've been having is routing the rear vent/breather. My exhaust somehow melted through it over this weekend and ended my weekend soon after this lap.
