All good comments because there is almost always an argument on how " Fastest " is clarified and that can be seen by the examples placed here. Many years ago I hit over 150 down the three straights at Road America , so it that the fastest or is it a trip over 170 at Daytona, or.....................is the overall average speed of a course. Having run Sebring, Road Atlanta, Road America, Mid Ohio, VIR, and 15 others it is always hard to figure which one is really the fastest , though like JDee I would like Road Atlanta and Mosport as Cojones Courses ( yet , add Sebring, Mid Ohio, Road America, VIR, Daytona, etc. ) to that list too. This will always be a source of interest because many of us are quite passionate about our favorite road courses , just like we are with our cars. I have found, over the years, that some of my favorite courses are not necessarily the fastest for top speed , but they average quite high due to some really high speed and challenging corners.

At this time in my life I am just glad to be ripping around any course , it seems almost all of them have some degree of technical finesse that gets the juices flowing.

And I have to agree with Steve Espo on Road America, as I was doing the above speeds over 20 years ago in a Viper.

Pretty sure he is referring to Goodyear F1SC3Rs and not BFG . BFG used to be a solid contender in the performance tire market but over the past 5 years they have practically pulled out completely.

It has been said before, but if you are a USAA member you can even get a big discount on Goodyear F1SC3Rs!! Had a nail in my rear passenger tire and it went into the sidewall and though I was not ready for a full set on my Ram, since they were all at 3-4 32nds, I bit the bullet and got a new set. At a 30% discount this is better than 4 for the price of 3 by going into " Perks " on my USAA account.

This makes the SC3 or SC3R more attractive knowing what we are all paying for the top Round Gumball Rubber Road Course Tyres !!

I had to run in Unlimited class because I decided to run hoosier A7s when I could not source any more nankangs. Ended up 3rd - was 2nd after the 1st segment (behind Steve Luca and his monster!), but my time on the 2nd segment Sat-Sun was poor as the car and tires started degrading. On flying laps I was the 9th fastest at the event.

Ended up losing magneride function so the car was very soft and could not put down power. Did not find it until Sun. It was floating the front end nicely on the 'tabletop' on the middle straight, this is at about 130 when it crests.

Good lord Stan, that thing is headed for the moon.

What was the cause of the MR failure? Did you lose a ride-height sensor?
Rear tire inner sidewall flexed enough to start rubbing the MR wire harness at the top of the shock. Everything cleared in static tests, but the hoosier sidewall was softer than the nankamgs and moved around more.

Ok, I am envious! Still have Barber on my " Bucket List " but glad you have been able to check it off yours!
More plus paddock queen & I are putting Barber on the annual track schedule and hopefully tracks we’ve never been to, ie. VIR, Road Atlanta and Pitt Race !! Gotta do it now as we’re pushing 70 and it’s something we’re not leaving on the table !!

What size tires and wheels?
I I’m thinking about going to a square set up on my 2022 MACH 1 with the handling package.
Thank you.
