Plasti dip color for Fox Body

I am trying to figure out what would be a good color for a Fox body. I have currently found a few that may look nice but would like other opinions.

Also I like the chameleon pearls like this one, I think it is subtle but has a nice touch to it. http://www.kandypearls.com/products/mardi-gras-kameleon-pearl

I bought my fox body new in 1982-the last American car purchased by me until the 2012 Boss.

The horsepower wars were just beginning again and the CA CHP was using these for pursuit vehicles.

What about a wrap? More durable, lots of colors.

That is very true, however a custom wrap done professionally would be maybe 2k and the dipping would cost about 300-450.

I would definitely watch some of the YouTube videos before you write off a wrap. Doesn't look that hard and might be less of a headache than trying to get an even coat over such large surfaces. A wrap is on my list to try if I end up buying a track beater.

I've pretty much written it off, I have watched the videos and I don't want to mess with placing it and pulling it up a bunch. I have worked with plastidip and it is really simple.

The guy with the blue Mustang in your fourth link is pretty active on another Mustang forum I frequent, and I have always thought his car looked awesome dipped.

Since you are dipping it are you going to do some graphics? You could have some fun with that.

The only thing I have thought about doing is getting a vinyl logo made and then spraying over it so it looks embossed.

Began the prep on the car last night and will continue today, might actually get to put a few coats of the black base coat on before tomorrow.

I am going with the pearl pigments from http://www.pearlsandpigments.com since those are what dipyourcar.com sells.

We did, we used a 120 dollar Wagner power painter with a hopper. Its now sprayable, dipyourcar I guess has partnered with Plasti Dip to make a prethinned and tinted mix. On top of the matte black we bought we got pearl pigment powder to mix with a matte clear to make the blue.
