I'm new to the forum and wanted to post a build I'm helping my friend with.

The Car a flood salvage 2015 Mustang GT performance pack. We are building the the to run in SCCA T2 for the 2017 season.

We part way in to this build so I don't have all the photos. But the car has been completely stripped down to a body and is being rebuilt. All the factory electronics have been removed, the engian control will be a Ford Racing controls pack. The cage was installed by Watson engineering, we have BMR rear busing, ford racing track suspension, mishimoto oil cooler. We also will be adding a trans and diff cooler. And many other parts I have forgotten.

My car is the focus, not quite as fast as the mustang and drives from the wrong end.

That's the heater box and defroster setup, yes we will run in the cold and the rain.

So this is pretty frustrating and stupid the fuel filter is located in the pump housing. Right now we probably going to replace the pump and add a remote filter since we are going to a return fuel system.

Very cool. What's the story behind the flood? Good luck with the build.

Not sure we think it was flooded last fall somewhere in the Carolinas, insurance totaled it and the car went to auction. The water was up to the dashboard, so everything we have touched has had water in it. The motor does turn over and the cams an crank are free of any rust but the bores and valves have rust I'm sure the motor will run but how strong it will be is unknown.

It's better option than a BIW.

Got the rear subframe bushings out and shot the subframe with fresh paint. New we will install the new bushings and reassemble it.

I would love to find a repairable "totaled" car for the track. Keep the updates coming, I love this stuff.

We got a little more work done this week on the car, we finished up the return fuel system.

We are going to bypass the intake filter ( I have a feeling it has an internal pressure release valve), we will add an in line filter before the regulator.

This is a return line to the tank, we used the EVP hardline to FEI an 6 fitting then tapped the tank. the line will sit above the rear subfame.

The tops of the strut towers where cut out to maximize the camber plates, we are also adding camber bolts the goal is to be able to get a full range of adjustment between -2 and -5 degs of camber.

Looking real good so far! Great idea getting a car with a straight body but ruined interior etc for track build.

I hope the engine meets your expectations!

Unfortunately we have to run a a 53mm restrictor in t2, but it be fun car. The main goal is to make it reliable.

I'm happy with the way this turned out considering I only have hand held power tools. ;)

Looks good. How do you plan to bring fresh cool air into the cooler and expel hot air from the heat exchanger?

Yes Good question I left out that the floor pan has been cut out and the fan will set up to push. We haven’t added ducting to bring air into the trunk, we will see if we need that or not.

A Naca duct in the quarter window is one option.
Make a sheet metal box that covers the cooler and seals it to the floor and run the duct to it.
Cool air will flow through the cooler and out bottom of the car.
Just a suggestion. ;)

Sorry haven’t up dated this in a little while, but the car is finished other than a few minor detail, and testing. I’ll update with photos latter.

It’s going in for an alignment tomorrow and I was looking for some recommendations for a starting point. I have hoped to be able to get -3deg of front camber and -1.5 rear but reading though the forum it doesn’t seem like people are using that much camber also I was thinking 1/8” total toe in the front and 0 in the rear.

I come from the FWD world and set up is a lot different, any reconditions would be appreciated.
