I worked with @StigsBaldBrother to see if these would be a direct fit for the non GT350s a while back. Long story short, it does fit. The bumper bar is a completely different shape, which limits placement. It also requires a bit more cutting of the lower grill due to the bumper differences and it sits a bit low in the grill. This means the tow hook rests on the lower painted section of the bumper. Not a huge deal, but something to think about. With the current design, there really isn't any other way to mount this to work better on the non GT350s. I'm happy with the product, and that it fit at all. I'll hopefully never need it, but the peace of mind is very nice.

This angle makes the trimmed grill look uneven but it's jut the angle.

I'd be interested in this! Is it easy to custom mount it in the center like ChevyNick did? I really dont like went things are not symetric! The FP one looks nice but no ETA on availability.

Anyone know what material is used on the GT350 bumper support?

It is definitely an aluminum extrusion. Most extruded aluminum are a 6000 series, but it could be 7000.

The regular Mustang bumper beams are stamped steel.

I know this is an old thread. I finally installed mine and ended up using it the first time out. I unfortunately I ran it out of fuel in the last session of the day. Tow hook worked great and got me back to the pits.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad it was used under those circumstances.

I can't imagine what they would have tried to tie off of without the tow hook there.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a track event coming up soon and would love to get this tow hook. Is this still available, I’ll purchase one as soon as possible? I emailed the email address on the first page a couple days ago.
