Splitter cam, Fat Boss.
Awesome driving and I like the splitter cam option, can see the whole track. Did I see a white 1967 or 68 Fairlane go by? That is the car I had back in the day ! a 1967 Fairlane we stuck in a 351 Windsor and the thing was fast. Did not turn or stop but was fast. Not sure what was done to that one , but a lot I would guess. Fun times!

Thanks DP. Yep I am pretty sure that was a 66-67 Fairlane. That was a fun day at Laguna. As you saw, it took me quite a while to catch the SPEC Mustang. And of course that Vette decided to call it quits early rather than get passed!

A couple vids from VIR this past weekend. New surface, and a bit wider. My first time at the track.

First day was mostly a washout due to all the snow and snow melt. Second day was better but only got three sessions in so that I could get back home in Florida at a (somewhat) reasonable hour.

I am sure that most of you VIR junkies are much faster, always looking for pointers.

Open track day at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX on the 3.1 circuit.

Fun day, nice weather, and my lap times improved to a best of 2:43.

Took a little off-track drive yesterday at Texas World Speedway. I turned in too early on 7, bounced the car off the curbing and wasn't able to bring my line back in. Decided to steer it straight off the track rather than go off sideways trying to correct it. Luckily the tires didn't dig into the dirt/grass or it could have been much, much worse. Luckily I only ended up breaking a splitter support and knocking the bumper off center.

I wish e85 was that magical on a NA engine! I should put a disclaimer on this video. That was Joe Johnson but I believe he had a passenger with him during this run because I know he is faster than me. He breathed the throttle to let me by on the straight.

Yes he was and I knew it looked familiar. Joe's car (he's not driving), myself and Kevin went out 1, 2, 3 Sunday morning during time trials. Here's the video from Kevin's car with me behind Joe's car. I logged my fast lap right before the 6:30 mark and then it got interesting around 7:15 . I ducked out of the way on the front straight to make sure Kevin could get a fast lap in too. Disclaimer as well since Joe's car was on takeoff Contis and they were on their last legs.

Yes they did. Fortunately I saw it developing so was ready to get out of the throttle if he decided to come right back on track. I might have been able to slip by but didn't want to chance it for both our sakes.

Funny thing is the day before the Chicane car spun 180 degrees in the front straight coming out of 13 as I was entering the corner. Fortunately I had eyes up and was looking toward corner exit so saw it happening. I knew I could slide to the inside and miss him so stayed in the throttle. He didn't realize I saw him so threw it into reverse and nailed it to get off track! Later on I was talking to the guys in timing and scoring and they were laughing about how that was the best maneuver of the weekend!
