I didn't have a lot of track time with my last set (see signature), but they held up fine to 1 or 2 trackdays. My biggest gripes were weight (~24 lbs for an 18x12) and brake clearance (can't fit anything larger than 14" Brembos).

Sorry for the plug but mine will be for sale once I wipe them down and take some photos. 18x11.5s fronts and 18x12s.

Good Lord that looks badass. What tire size are you running in this pic?

Weld bought CCW a year or two back--so those offerings are stout for sure.

Hoosier/Continental GTO 305/660/18s (if I remember correctly. They’re very happy on 11-12” width wheels.

The spokes on the S71s I had are solid hunks of aluminum. Not much scalloping or relief machining. It’s probably why they’re a little portly. Makes you feel good about strength though.

    Just look at them

Arizona Boss has the best answer, imho, because once many folks realize that Weld bought out CCW a few years back one realize that these are stout race rims. Ran CCWs on my Viper years back and they became the rim to have , as others ( some well known brands ) were prone to breakages , but no issues with CCWs.

Now , for a lot of us the Apex rims are the ones to have , as fitment was been. an issue on the S550 and Shelby GT 350 , but Apex came with the cure. Obviously they work super well with the s197 or Bosses as some of us even have 2 sets , it's a sickness of Track folks, ha.

    on lethal :

    Wheel Specs:

    • 18" diameter
    • 10" width
    • 41mm offset
    • 7.10" back space
    • 1580lb load rating per wheel
    • Conical lugnuts required
    • Fits front or rear
NOTE: DOES NOT fit 2013-2014 Shelby GT500 OEM brakes (front or rear).

what do you guys think ? ... if i can remember the apex had load of 1550 lbs and et43

so can these wheels handle track racing and daily driving on rough roads without breaking or bending ?? right now with the boss oem im having no problems at all but im unsure of aftermarkets ??

And r these wheels going to be fit under the fender, flush or in ,,, or are the gonna be out?

thanx for the input guys this is helpful

    I think they’d be fine.

FYI, appearance won’t be the same between 18x10s and 18x12s. Also, the “high pad” face has the coolest look and most room for brakes, if you can choose.

I love the drag race look on a roadrace wheel!

Neema - you ALWAYS have the coolest wheels/offsets - welcome back!

Weld owns CCW...I would not run a drag type wheel on a road course. I'm sure Weld bought into some of the CCW technology when they wrote the check, so they might be building a road race-able wheel now, but I'd make sure

The RTS isn't a drag only wheel. It's meant to be for protouring cars and what have you.
