Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Since Nick is at the track I'll take a shot at this. I believe Nick is running staggered 275F and 305R NT01's like I have sitting in my garage. The Hoosiers are 295F and 315R. Same combo that Gary, John and Pete are running. Maybe Steve too. Imagine what squared 315 Hoosiers would be like.

Rick got it right.

Boy, now I now why the R6's are Purple crack. Stupid fast! :). About 1.5 secs faster than Contis and 2.5 secs faster than the Nittos on a 1:44 lap. Will post exact times on the lap time thread ...

Do we have to make BMO a spec tire series?

More from yesterday's track day.

Weld failed on side pipe bracket:

And the R6's are slipping on the Enkei rims under braking. Fronts were 30 and 45 degrees rotated after 2 sessions and the rears over 90 degrees. Rotated wheels Left to Right and the fronts are pretty much aligned back. The rears are still off........

I am getting this with my 305 NT01's, mostly on the rear. Not as much as you are seeing though. Probably 30 degrees on the rear and 10 or so on the front. Might have to do with the less weight on the rear tire?

Mike you running Enkei's too? Maybe another reason not to track them.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

when tires are mounted dont they use a lubricant. Maybe instead of that use bead sealer. When wet it acts like a lubricant and dries bonding the bead to the rim. Just a thought.

Steve, I run Forgestar 18x11's all around. My tire guy uses a grease type lubricant when installing the tires. So far I have not been getting any vibrations, but I am sure the tire location change threw the tire balance out.

Are the 11"'s different offsets front and rear? Are these the wheels that Vorschlag offers?

Yes, they are different offsets. Not sure you could make the same 18x11 wheel work front and rear, even using spacers. And yes, they were purchased from Vorshlag.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

All I did was wash the bugs and road dust from last weekends Paul Brown Memorial Rally... the caravan got split and ended up as lead... then made a wrong turn then the pavement ended... oops... sad thing is they followed the leader... at that point my GPS died... double oops... made it back to the highway... but now have two good friends that have earned the right to give me grief for the rest of my life... skipped the 50th show in Lincoln...maybe take a peek tomorrow...

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Finished installing the Roush axlebacks I bought from Swiss Boss.
Also took out the 3/4" side exhaust discs since these allow more flow.
Went out for a short trip, and wow, these things are awesome. ;D
The reviews are spot on--calm and cool at cruise, but get on the gas, and they really open up.
May not be as loud as Corsas, but for the price of these used, they're great for me.
To install, I took the hanger brackets off--Whiteline Watts link bars in the way to move the exhaust forward far enough get off the hangers. The bottom hanger bolt is tough to get at, but by pulling down the rear of the muffler, I was able to get a wrench in there. A 13mm ratcheting wrench would make it easier, but I don't have one.
A pic of out with the old, and in with the new (used). The stockers are huge, and weigh a ton compared to the Roush.

Also, my family got me a Boss 302 clock off of ebay for my birthday. Put it up in the pony coral. Looks great above the Harmon Kardon stereo and 1980s JBL speakers.
