Replaced the passenger side cowl panel on the GT/FakeR. Should have done the cabin filter at the same time. ::)

Nearly 6 years of parking outside in the SoCal sun killed the rubber seal:

Installed the Steeda clutch helper spring. I had a little accident and broke the male portion of the upper mount but it does not seem to affect the operation. I really like the feel and when power shifting the car seems to dance around more like the clutch is engaging sooner and harder. I have a MGW race spec shifter and it has cured my high RPM lockout. It was 98 degrees here today so a hot slick road may have more to do with the dancing than the clutch spring, but I like it better than the old one.

Oh that....it was sort of an impulse deal.
Kevin Patten dropped by and sort of got the ball rolling and the next thing you know I have the air hammer out. That guy is such a trouble maker! Lol.

LOL yes Kevin likes to stir things up. Next thing you'll be swapping engines and running Spec Mustang with him. ;)

Stranger things have happened....I actually have an SMG mustang in the shop right now...

Installed oil cooler in preparation for track day at Texas World Speedway in September. The car also has FR500S Brembo calipers and two-piece floating rotors, JLT oil separator, brake cooling hoses and backing plates. PFC-01 front pads and PFC-12 rears ordered.

I did go with the full Mishimoto kit - that mounting bracket is expensive! If I had more time I would have bought just the cooler, lines and adapter plate and made my own mount. I've tracked a few cars but never an S197 Mustang so I have been doing a lot of reading here and trying to make sure I have the basics covered for track prepping the car.

Performed header install on Red 21. With the full 3 Corsa x pipe exhaust the sound is unreal. Drove the car in to work today and had a few pipe to chasiss rattles that I think are from the cat pipes, have to adjust. Butt dyno report good power gain with low end torque improvement noticeable. Tough job on jack stands but easier overall than S197 cars.

Nice job Steve. Your #21 engineers look like they approve on the work completed on the 21 car.
It always important to include and consult the engineers that are always behind the scenes.
If that's your dad....I'm 100% on board with that. You need to add a decal on the 21 with his name.

Good job Steve!!

That is my dad, 78 years young and spent two days in 90 degree heat helping his crazy son install headers. He has supported me for 50 years, thanks Dad.

Replaced the air filter in my 08 Bullitt...finally. The Bullitt came from the factory with a K&N air filter which was a constant point of contention with dealerships whenever I brought my car in for scheduled maintenance...they always claimed it was an aftermarket part that I installed, I would have to prove to them that it wasn't, then they would scratch their head and play dumb. So not a single dealership ever serviced or replaced the air filter even though it was required per Ford's scheduled maintenance program that I paid for. So after nearly nine years I figured I should by a new one. ;D I could've cleaned the original but...umm...yeah...

I never clean k&n air filters, I just replace them every year or so. Every time I have tried to clean them, I'm not happy with how it turns out or I bend the pleats....
