Fabman, you are in one piece and you are right. Ignore the drama and be proud of putting that white b___h together...glad you have good brakes and went fast! Nice!

Fabman: A 139.64 laptime places you at 67th on the overall fastest lap at LS chart.

Looks like all of your hard work on your S197 is paying off.

Nice lap!

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Steve,
1/8" NPT (11/32" pilot drill), with a 6AN fitting and Hose.

You'd need to go bigger with the newer trans. Mine had an 8mm hole for the breather, I believe the newer ones are 10mm....
Tap needed for later trans is 7/16"-20 to fit a -4AN to -4AN male union with o ring on one side. Don't even have to drill the case, just run the tap in with grease, then drained fluid and flushed with brake clean and compressed air. No one will care now since everyone hates the MT-82.

Trick-or-Treating.....I remember when I was going out with my brothers in the 60's( I know, I'm a geezer).....Back then we got candy bars that were FULL size in everything...Nestle's, Hershey, milky ways, you name it! Now everything is half the size (if you're lucky) for twice the money (inflation factored in).I still believe dentists started this holiday.

Yeah, and people used to give you apples, oranges, healthy fruit type stuff (not that we preferred that healthy stuff over candy) and if you did that now it would be cause for a major crime alert, you'd be shamed, ostracized, tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail! It was probably dentists that started the anti-fruit movement.

Still barely feels like fall here. Finally got around to cutting these out:

Here's one for ya. I noticed with the windows up and the radio off, there was a ton of chatter coming from the rear coil overs. Divers side mostly. I kept looking for it an could not find it, Last night I did a spring swap to see if it was spring chatter from the gap in the helper springs.

I pulled the shocks out, as I was doing the spring swap I noticed there were marks on top of the upper shock tops, guess what, looks like contact marks from the body upper mounts. I added some clearance to the upper mount, put everything back in.

I get to see this morning on my way to work to see if it's all better. Damn what a pain. If that's where the noise was coming from, I can go back to my 300lbs springs, really good set up. I put 200lbs and the 18mm sway on, should be about the same wheel rate as the 300lbs with no sway or my 1/2 inch coat hanger.

Wheel rates might be about 255 vs 330 or so. Sometimes I get a little clunk when I go from forward to reverse and vice-versa once I get rolling. I couldn't think of a way to prevent it with heim joints on both ends. I assumed mine are just hitting the limit of rotation when it does that. I'll look closer next time I'm under the car.
