Re: What did you do to your boss today?

im late but yesterday I installed a boss 302S grille. CPC battery and master cylinder cover. Redlinegoods shift and parking brake boots (MY GT500's are going up for sale). And swapped out the MMD hood struts with REDLINEs (required with the CPC covers and these are also going up for sale).

The grille is awesome! The stock one is all wrapped up in the box the new grille came in. The CPC covers are really nice they make for a much cleaner look under the hood. And I love the new boots!! Waiting in a new knob to come in that will match even better.
Here are the pics.

Installed Prothane mounts this morning. Not as hard as I had thought, took about 1hr 1/2. Definitely notice it, not too bad though. Some minor vibration transmitted but other than that, not objectionable.

Yes thats right on the grille. Oh wait, I almost went with that one, but went with the Black Retro Grill 10-12 from american muscle because it is on sale. The surround is AR3Z8419AA and available many places but I got it from rockauto.

The Ford Racing stickers are the standard 15" ones.
Got my track day grille installed today. Thanks Ron!

Beat the bricks off it all weekend at Sebring!!

Killed a new set Hawk pads......No more of them for me!!

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I got my Boss ready for a HPDE next weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kersaw, SC. I installed a Steeda shifter bracket, GT500 front brake dust shields, and the Ford Racing trans cooler scoop. Flushing the brakes this week with high temp brake fluid and I will be ready to go.

What about the airbag clock spring setup? Don't you need that for the EPAS system? I want to do this too as it will make race seat entry and exit much easier. Just not sure it works without a special module like the one in the 302S cars labeled "restraint system module" on the trans tunnel.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Clock spring assembly was deleted during installation. I now have to manually cancel all of the "hard" signals to the left/right.

My EPAS is locked in "SPORT" mode by the 302R ABS module. Haven't noticed anything weird yet.
My RSM is still plugged in, I do have an airbag light permanently "on" in the dash now.

They are these: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=22955

They basically eliminate the dust shields. They should help keep the brakes cool and the installation is easier than the brake duct kit.

Not sure. Most of us just remove the stock shields and install the brake duct kit.

Drew the wheel looks cool. One step closer to the point of no return. ;) Let me know when you need those stickers.

colticus those wheels look especially nice on the PW Bosses. Good choice.

Cool. I thought I read that there is a steering position sensor in the clock spring that signals the EPAS processor. With the Ford Racing EPAS rack I am also locked in sport mode, and loving it.
Steve

There is a steering wheel position sensor in the clock spring. I believe it is used for advance trac.
