I already have the 615+. I considered the 660+, but they were more expensive. Another benefit to the 660+ that was pointed out to me by a friend, is that they can be flipped on the wheel to get a little more life out of them.Once I wear out... (see full post)
If you haven't purchased yet you might go with the 660+ instead.......easier tire to drive on for someone new as they telegraph much better and will be faster. Sure, they will wear faster but some drivers find the 615s to be rather uncommunicative. (see full post)
Not quite today but Sunday-Installed 3.73 gears, T2 Torsen and 1 piece aluminum driveshaft into my 2014 V6 as well as some regular track prep, new pads, rotor scuff and put 1L of brake fluid through the system!
I haven't run the spec tire yet. Since I'm just starting out, I decided to go with Falken RT-615's since they are cheaper and I figured I would be burning though them while learning. (see full post)

These are the way to go if you need replacement in the future: https://www.professionalawesome.com/product/professional-awesome-splitter-support-rods/ (see full post)
To my knowledge, there's basically 3 options out there:
1. The original splitter support, pn: M-17A626-MB.
2. The tubular front bumper/tow hook, pn: M-17757-MB
3. Blowfish/SVE Tow HookAs I'm sure you're aware, the original bracket is basically...
Absolutely, happy to help! I spent too long scouring marketplace for a Blowfish hook before I found the SVE. Best of luck, I'm in a similar boat, I've got the hook, currently sourcing a new blade. (see full post)
Why? I mean, just point the car straight ahead from turn 10b, mash the gas to the floor, and pray you are lined up properly once you get over the hill to turn 11 and can see the racetrack again . . .😆
I went and looked at the event page. It says limited classroom and lead/follow. This is what they did at Barber a few years ago. The lead follow was with all novice drivers on track at once. They had 5-6 instructor cars with 4-6 students behind...
Thank you for the info guys, I really appreciate it. I've been a sim racing guy for the better part of 25 years, so I know the track layout like the back of my hand. I absolutely understand that isn't a replacement for real world driving, but...
At Ozarks I thought they had instructors but I could be wrong. Thanks for correction Eric. If no instructor, I recommend having someone experienced ride with any Novice, new to Road Atlanta driver. It is not a place to just "find your way around"...
I am signed up for the event as well. MCA/SAAC events are very fun and welcoming to new comers. They are a bit different than what most of us HPDE/Club Racers are used to and that is actually good for novice level and intermediate drivers. You...
