- k_z replied to the thread S550 Driving without TPMS.Yes - in fact if you have street wheels stored somewhere nearby when you start the car, it'll pick up those pressure and show the light about 30 or so miles into the drive. But no TPMS sensors do not affect any car functionality - like others said. (see full post)

For S197s you can code out the TPMS light with Forscan in the IPC module and deselect the TPMS active. That's what I did as I also have track wheels without TPMS installed at the moment. Google seems to say you can do the same in S550s, but...
