What FlyBoy , you no likey M-80 , er MT-82 shifter from da Boss? Boy, your long sentence is the bearer of truth and happiness for many of us that thought a Tremec should have been in the Boss!

If the Boss had the T3160 in the 350 I'd probably still own my Boss. ;)

My warranty was about to be over in the Boss and I was on the second transmission. First one died at 15k and I think mine lasted longer than most. The stock clutch exploded first and the transmission sychros weren't looking so good. Ford covered it under warranty but I was waiting for it to happen again. For now I have no desire to do anything with the GT350 shifter because I don't have any complaints. I'm just driving the car and enjoying it

It's a good thing you live so close to Mexico. ;)

No surprise there but I wonder how close you'd be to a stock GT-R? The GT-R's were tough to hang with on track in my Boss. Not so much in my GT350.

I think stock they would be about equal. The elevation robbed at least 50hp from the GT350 also.

Will the new 10 speed 2018 GT be faster than a GT350? Don't know if this has already been posted. Can't seem to find road race comparisons.

If you were to build a race car today and had the option of using the 18 GT drivetrain with the 10 speed VS the Tremec/VooDoo. What would you choose?

I have the 10R80 in my 18 Raptor and its a great box. It is heavy but will the fast shifting make up for the weight difference? Would be interested in hearing what forum members think.

I like manuals for the street and auto/DCT/PDK for the track.

I'm the opposite. Nothing worse than being stuck in traffic with a close ratio gearbox and a low rear end! I like the slushbox way better for that stuff. Used to prefer manual everywhere but I'm too old and too lazy to enjoy that part of it now!

Bob, I live 6 miles from work , and it takes me a tedious 6 minutes to get there. My son lives 27 miles from me and even going through a bit of Omaha , it takes me 30 minutes to get there. Taught him ( my son ) to drive on a manual ( 97 Mustang Cobra ) and I learned to drive on a manual ( Ford Fairlane 3 speed on the column ). Man son swears my grandson will learn to drive on a manual too - auto no mouse car not for him!!

Every place I the US has it's advantages, and ease of travel and cost of living plusses are a couple of areas Nebraska shines in!
