Life is short. Live well!
I'm going to replace my oem tires with Michelin Pilot SS. I like the look of the Michelin logo on the race tires. I spoke with some Michelin folks at COTA last weekend and they couldn't give me a definitive answer as to whether that's molded in the tire or a sticker, possibly applied with heat. Anybody know the answer?

Thanks

I don't know the answer, but is this the logo you're talking about?

If it's anything like the motorcycle ones it is a cloth/rubberized decal that you use a glue to put on. I'll search and see if I can find it....

EDIT: Here is the one I got but was a PITA because they only ship to European countries.

Neat idea...but...

I would expect the installation to be more difficult then at first glance. If the sticker is not perfectly aligned, the tire would appear more oval then round as the graphic moves with the spinning tire.

Make sense?

Not *my* idea, and products like these seem to be increasing in popularity and availability. I guess everyone want to look like they're running slicks all de time...

But not sure about your concern for misalignment.

When the tires get heated up to +220*F on track, does anybody have any experience with these coming loose?
