My neighbor across the street has had enough of this summer heat.........He's getting a pool put in his back yard. They started yesterday, maybe Him and his family will be swimming by the weekend. I've had some friends who've had pools...........they're great fun but require a lot of maintenance keeping them clean and keeping the water from turning green.....I remember running thru the sprinkler when I was a kid, then we moved up to slip "n slide fun....... https://wham-o.com/collections/slip-n-slide®

Bill, trust me, it's not that I'm a glutton for punishment or too cheap to pay the added expense in the electric bill A/C would generate......It's just that Hon has a asthma related ailment that A/C can aggravate, especially at night............I'll survive, the heat wave will break by Thursday.............A/C in the Boss works fine if/when I need it............................
I think I would be sleeping in the car with the ac until the heat breaks.

Pool water tanker truck just pulled up.......my neighbors may be cooling their toes by the end of the day, all tho we have line of thunder storms moving thru later today that may put a damper on things....................my fans are hanging tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......I gotta figure out how to clean them, some of those little Phillip head screws holding the fan blade shields on are giving me fits trying to break them loose.....:banghead:

Update: Knee progress has been slow but steady....I've been to the grocery store twice, solo, once in the Boss and once in the truck, When I can find a carriage to hang onto, I'm Good.......Handicap tag helps a lot!!!!!!!!!!! Today's adventure was getting to CVS to get a refill for my knee...........I took the truck and my Drive Rollator and things worked out well....That "Drive Rollator" was the best thing I ever bought... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Drive-Me...MI3NCa0rmuhwMVr01HAR22AQgzEAQYASABEgI3H_D_BwE ................besides the Boss, of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........word to the wise....keep your health AND mobility for as long as you can and enjoy the life you enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave, You're SO right about that heavy rain and I never saw lightning come so quick and often as it did during that storm!..........Well, at least we got heaven weather today....sunny bright deep blue skies...........dew point was 57 when I checked........humidity will return next week but I will enjoy what I got til then......................

I just enjoyed a delicious, juicy summer peach...........I look forward to that thrill every summer..........you have to suck up all that peach juice when you take a bite before your chin and shirt start dripping..........After sweet summer corn on the cob, sweet juicy summer peaches are next on my list of summer favorites............stuff cooked on the grill is a close third...;););)

Another humid, muggy day on tap....dew point 70 right now, early AM and I'm sure will climb.I often wonder why Heaven weather with dew points in the 50's only last a day or two, while these dog days can last a week or more.............that's because Heaven weather likes to stay where it belongs................some of us need to get used to these dog days for reasons I don't want to get into right now......................you know who you are............................................:teasing:

Actually just the birth of the Ford Motor Company and it was years later when the Model T debuted. The Model A came much later and it was to many the car that began the real driver's revolution. Cool to know the day the Company actually began.487.jpg

I had the Boss out for a short ride yesterday....I still thank myself for getting this car every time I drive it!!!!!!!!....but now the airbag warning icon is lit............what the heck is that on for???????????????..........I don't wanna go to the dealer for this!!!!......anybody know what this is about or how I can reset it???.........I never had this problem in my '68 Olds 442!!!

My first car was a 1969 Toyota Corolla, 4 speed manual with a 1100 CC engine..........Some Harleys back then had 1200 CC motors........my 1100 sounded like a sewing machine.....The car was a graduation present from my parents..I guess they figured I couldn't get into too much trouble with that car. I upgraded to my 1968 Olds 442 less than a yr later.......Now we were talkin trouble.:hellyeah:
