Ford is the featured marque at Lime Rock vintage races this Labor Day weekend. And the Honored Collector is Ross Myers, "who will be displaying a beautiful collection of Ford race cars, like the 1986 Probe GTP." Remember, no racing on Sunday - that's Concours day.

302BOB update........It seems I've contracted bronchitis....Hon got me to the doctor because she couldn't put up with my constant coughing any longer (me neither) ...I'm on antibiotic horse pills that I hope will kick in soon. The first thing my doc did was test me for covid which came back negative, Thank God!!!!!!!!! I don;t want to go down that road, for sure!!! Was watching the Barrett-Jackson car auction on History channel today. Sammy Hagar had his 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari on the block.....He's turning 77 tomorrow and said the car is a little more than he can handle now...........0 to 60 in 3 seconds......that's only a second faster than my Boss! But it fetched $4.25 million......

Sorry Bobby, Petit Le Mans was on and it overshadowed the Auction at our house. Great race though one of the Mustangs was in a horrific wreck and that slowed the race for awhile. Plenty of other action and my Grandson's favorite car, Rexy, won the GTD Pro Class. The Porsche GT3 with the T-Rex theme , green color, and teeth across the front has become a big hit with kids and since my Grandson is still interested in Dinosaurs it is his favorite. I had to laugh as the Team makes funny changes at times and this time they added a " Grill " to Rexy , giving him two " Gold " front teeth, ha!

Rexy gets a gold tooth for each race win. I think it's got 3 now (there's one on the bottom driver's side that's hard to see). Not sure what they'll do for the season championship.

Coverage never really showed what happened to get the GTD Proton Mustang spun in the first place. There was a 911 stopped off track a bit beyond it, but no footage of an incident. I think IMSA may have been doing their usual, "We'll wait a lap before throwing the full course yellow to allow folks to hit pit lane before it closes." Unfortunately, that meant a car with no lights sitting in the middle of the track at the exit of a blind corner, and a clump of GTs and prototypes battling for position barreling toward it. The race-leading GTP car of Wayne Taylor Racing was unsighted until the last second, the inevitable happened, and the resulting collision took out both cars' suspension. With less than an hour left in the race, WTR was denied a win in the closing minutes. Again. For like the fourth year in a row. I wasn't rooting for them, but you just have to feel sorry for a team with a streak like that.

Good to know about the teeth ,and one has to laugh at the fun the Team has with " Rexy!" Tough situation with the Mustang and the Wayne Taylor Acura Prototype, and it appeared to be the #120 GTD Porsche of Wright Motorsports that was involved with the Proton Competition Mustang. You could see the Porsche start to move off and he must have crawled back to the pits since he finished just one spot ahead of the Proton Mustang. One has to wonder if it happened so quick, in the dark, and with the front end off the Mustang maybe workers were unable to even notice soon enough. Scary situation at night and sad situation for all three teams. It would be nice if IMSA or a reporter could post about the incident because it had a big impact for the race .......especially for the GTP Acura.

Just starting to see October's full "Hunter's Moon" start to rise in the sky now. They say it will peak overnight tonite but will hang around for an encore tomorrow nite. Catch it while you can!...........I saw shadows thru the window last nite, So I know it's very bright.....................

Son by today with his electrician buddy he grew up with. He's going to give me a price on a fuse to circuit breaker conversion, which I've been putting off for years and something that's LONG overdue!!!! My local Home Depot will stop selling fuses once they find out I'm updating................

Look at upgrading your service amperage as well. If you're still on fuses, you probably have 100 amp service (or maybe even 60). Installing a new breaker box is an ideal time to upgrade to 200 amp service. And get a breaker box that holds more breakers than you need (have at lease 10 empty) - it doesn't cost much more and gives you the ability to split and/or add circuits in the future.

The other thing to consider (at least get a ballpark cost for) is a whole-house generator, especially if you already have natural gas service. Being able to live life normally during a power outage is a game-changer, especially as you get older.

Everybody remember to turn their clocks-back an hour this morning at 2:00AM?!?!?!.............I don't know why we still put up with this nonsense twice a yr.....Every yr somebody says they will fix it, but it always gets lost in the shuffle til the next time we have to change the clocks.....Isn't there one or 2 states that stay on the same time all yr long???? How do they survive , I wonder....At least we got an extra hr of-sleep this time around.................:banghead:
