I was indestructible, nonstopable party hearty, you name it........................it's amazing how time and aging can bring you back down to earth (reality) in a hurry............Hey.........I still got my Boss, so I'm hanging on to a little bit of fun (youth).........................Don't get in my way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Hon has left me in charge of my dinners for a while since I have so much stuff stashed way in the deep freezer downstairs..........She's right................I found a Kabasi that I'll enjoy with some mashed potatoes and some canned corn later today............there's some Italian sausage down there too in that freezer......I see a spaghetti sauce in mt future ......................

A nice sunny day out there today................but looks can be deceiving !.......I can hear that wind howling outside....the temp may be a balmy 30, but the wind chill will stay in the teens all day BRRRRR!!!!!!!!...........on the bright side.........only a month and a half before March may usher in some spring like temps............I know, I'm grasping at straws here..........

What happened to the "January thaw" we used to get? It was a nice bump in temperature around now. Note sure if we still get "Indian summer" regularly either. That could be just a New England thing. I want to do some work on cars, but it's too darn cold in the barn. Maybe I'm just getting old.

What am I doing up at this time of day..6:42 AM...............Hon snoring and I'm at the keyboard..............Retirement is a blessing and it may also be a curse if you let it............not in my plans for sure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Retirement is God's way of giving you a permanent paid vacation............those lucky enough to get there............count your blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iphone 16 pro update.....................Hon's progress mastering her new phone is VERY minimal at best. She manages to answer and make calls, but not much more than that at this stage of the game....................Son tries to help her when he can but it seems she needs much more tutelage than that..........this is a big let down for me.........I had visions of her getting me on board with a new phone of my own...........not right now, tho..............one lost soul is better than two..........my flip phone ain't going anywhere for a while.............

Actually, it seems to me they were a hell of a lot easier to use then. My buddy has a real old flip phone that makes phone calls and does nothing else.
Sometimes I am jealous of him as I fight with my state of the art phone that is way smarter than I am!

Man is it COLD outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........4 degrees this AM.........6 degrees yesterday AM..............It's obvious Global warming hasn't got the message yet!!!!!!!!!!!!.......I know these temps because I let my "Boys"(Galaxy and Peanut) outside every morning while they're staying with us while Son is enjoying the warmth in Puerto Rico (85 degrees, when He called)............All I know is I will never bad mouth summer again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....Oh well, time to read the morning paper since it's thawed out from sitting in the driveway for a few hrs.....................

Tne " Passes " are more exciting at Daytona, as are the " Blocks! " The " Goals " are way more intense and the drivers have hours to stay on the " Ball ", and the " Runs " over 24 Hours are alot longer than 100 yards!

Down memory lane for a moment.....I had 2 friends in High school that had Mustangs.............One had a 65 3 speed that was a dog with 3 legs. and the other found a 65 289 4 barrel 4 spd that Cooked and served more than you could handle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....................He bought it from a Grandma that just wanted to "relax"..........I hope I never get to that stage of relaxing......
