Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 On Bill Rinehart. MMP staff were great when I called and scheduled my track attack day earlier this year. Your experience seems to be the exception and not the norm.

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I left several voice and email messages for Bryan which went unanswered. I used a contact at Ford in Detroit to help me get this escalated. I was called by Mark(?), the manager of the program and he told me it would get handled. I followed up 2-3 weeks later, and happened to catch an instructor mid-session in class who took my name and number and he did follow up once to ask if I had been contacted.

Still to this day I have not secured a spot. Quite disappointing to say the least.

I left another VM on the number listed on the site. Anyone want to place a bet?

I'll be happy to but how will you pay up?

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are in process of setting the final dates for BTA thru April of next year. I'm surprised because Bryan was my main contact and he went out of his way to hook me up. Keep trying and email as well. This way you'll have some trail to work with at a later date.

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is only for owners of "New" cars, correct? I'm a 2nd owner of a very low miles 2013, and the Track Attack was never used by the 1st owner. Am I eligible to particiapte, or has the ship sailed? Thanks for any info.

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never say never.
I took possession of my car in December 2011.
Was the only 2012 owner who went to BTA in September 2013. Well past the year rule.
This was where Bryan really helped me out. I had a knee issue that would not have allowed me to enjoy BTA.
They made an exception for me and I am damn glad they did. Loved those guys at MMSP.

I agree. I bought my Boss in August of 2012 and just went to BTA Monday of last week. It can be done, just ask.

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update - I kept at it and finally got a hold of Bill Rhinehart. He gave me his desk number and said to follow up in a week. The dates for Spring '14 should be out soon.

When I was at Track Attack earlier this year, I meant but forgot to ask the instructors what shock settings are being used for the Boss 302's. Does anyone here know? Just changed mine from 2 to 5 all around just to feel the difference. Definitely feel the bumps more in the road but hard to judge benefits without being on a track.

PS, for grins, saw this on another site.

I asked an instructor. He said that all the cars have Laguna Seca-spec suspension and are set at 5.

Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just rediscovered this site after about a year absence. I confess to not having read all 36 pages on this topic, so if this has already been covered I apologize. Anyway, I, too, loved the Track Attack experience, but did anyone else notice how down on the power the cars are? The track is about 4300 ft. above sea level. When I got home I used an online calculator and seem to remember that that equates to a loss of 55 hp vs. sea level. That would explain why my TA car could not spin the tires. Part of the "Attack" includes a demo of Launch Control. I dumped the clutch at 3500 rpm and spun for about two feet. My own car, at an elevation of 200 feet, smokes all through second gear.

They leave the traction control on or at least they did when I was there. They made a point to tell us not to mess with it

It's good to be the Boss.
Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up! So much for being on their email notification list. I'm surprised the have open dates on the 50th week! We're probably going for the May 20 session.
