I have the Dyad; it's really nice in traffic. Really good street clutch with tons of capacity. It will start to grab harder when it gets some heat in it but it's still smooth....

Perfect! It fixed all of my high RPM issues. Another benefit of the DYAD design is that the engine revs quicker as well. The clutch moves weight closer to the center so you it acts like a lighter clutch with great street manners. How is high rpm shifting with the Dyad?
Like my SPEC 2+ clutch as it serves me well both on and off the track. If I had a dedicated track car I'd buy McLeod RXT twin or better and live with the noise.
If you stay the MT82 route.... go for a tranny oil cooler as well.. Night and day difference in how the shifter feels on the track. No more stiff shifter as the temps used to get to high.
As far as clutchs go, I really like my Spec 2+, affordable and lasting well.
Now that ive got a few hours on the new mt82 transmission from Ben Calimer along w the MGW race shifter im addicted to it. Firm going into gear but positive and clean. Not random like before. Its very quiet like 90% and in neutral it does not sound like wooden bearings.
Mgw is way stiff and even the stock lever is short. Im hoping it all gets smoother over time. I have the laguna trans brace scoop but ben told me thats really to cool the clutch. Also no need for an active trans cooler w the mt82 and typical HP levels.. per Ben. Im sure the 2qts Amsoil MTF 5W-30 w 0.75 qt 75W-90 Gear oil are helping.
Can you elaborate on your trans cooler? Also, how it feels when she starts overheating the trans?
Yes. Plus 450 for polished gearsOn the Calimer site. Trans rebuild stage 3 is $3k with all new gears. Is that what you are hearing?
