That's still to come. They wanted to paint the cage first, then tape the cage and paint the interior. Since they were going to do it in two steps, they decided two tones.

So floor, roof, and body will be gray/grey, and the inner door skins will be yellow.

Bar looks more like School Bus yellow.
When the rest of the interior gets painted grey, the bar going to pop with color. The bar and doors are going jump out at you. And when you reassemble the interior....with the little that goes back in. It will look bad ass!

That's basically what the base body coating looks like (besides the green/orangish e-coat). So in the engine bay and interior/door jambs, the car is school bus yellow, and only the outer finished surfaces received the pearlcoat. Somewhat odd, but it looks fine. Won't be fun the first time I need to get a part of the body recoated. Some more pictures:

I think the end result will look really cool under glass once its all done. The paintwork looks really good.

Since this project has gone on so long, I'm already getting into my phase II plans for the car since the budget for testing, etc is just idling as the time goes by. (I'm still lying to myself claiming that this build is done in reasonable phases)

That being said, I've sold off the roush trakpak coilover setup from Arizonaboss, and bought some monotube 2way adjustable coilovers by JRZ. I'm excited, they're remote reservoir setups and are the same setup Paul Brown used (though his may have had low/high speed on his PWC car, something I don't need anytime soon).

Dat rear shock shaft, doe.

All that's left from the phase II stuff now is
  • -hardier brakes (which I'll go at least a season on the stock brembos)
  • cool suit system (I'm covering that shortly)
  • some additional data setup (which the great team at Autosport Labs is getting me setup with)

I've already handled the dampers, torsen differential, APR rear wing, etc.

Phase 3 is pretty open, I'd imagine its just further molding the car to whatever classes its competitive in, saving weight if necessary or adjusting power output.

Super slow going, but looks like we might be picking up some pace here very soon:

Once the glass is installed, I can take posession of the car and once I do working on it should be at a much more accelerated rate. If I can get it back this weekend, there's a shot at making some early June or even late may events.

Plus: new suspension arrived and is exactly what we thought it would be and in excellent condition.

Minus: glass wasn't installed today, and the kit is missing 3 critical aluminum spacers for the shocks

I'll figure something out, reached out to jrz and some other fabricators

Have to track down some parts for the suspension, though lol, 600lb front springs make very little movement on the street.

Otherwise, was able to bring the car home and thoroughly clean it up! Now the real fun begins:

what spring rates have you been running?

Looks great! It's really come a long ways. I think that your signature is now more fitting than ever:

2011 Mustang GT: 11.5:1 Coyote/Roadrunner Thing. Will accidentally be a 302R at some point, probably won't see it coming.

Can't wait for track videos and photos!

Before was eibach sport lines, I had a set of trakpak coil overs from arizonaboss but I'm unsure of the spring rates and they were only used to roll the chassis around for a year
