what clutch would work in my 16 PP for street and track days ?? My ford dealer will give me the new ford clutch parts and they will install what I give them. Thanks.
Pretty much lol I’m not like a lot of the guys on this site. That’s why I have a GT only lol. It I did drop about $5000 on my car this year. I told her I’m done until next year Then the clutch went and she was fine with it. She said fix it right. My Ford dealer said as of now I can put anew after market in and they will give me the new ford stuff.
Jeff, The GT is no slouch by any means! There's a lot there to get you in trouble if you're not careful. Sounds like you have all your bases covered. Tyme for the next inning!......No more burnouts!!!!!!....
Bob I never did a burnout with it now my 2000 GT I would melt the tires off it lol. Those P zeros are expensive.. my shifter Kart would be faster then my GT I do like running my mustang though.. apples to oranges. I need to order something before 11 to get it to my house by noon tomorrow from summit racing.
Good luck on your adventure......I've never done a burnout in my Boss either. When others leave Tire tracks and lots of smoke, all I see are dollar bills floating away..not to mention all the stress on the drive train...
I'm still on my factory clutch but I'll be preemptively changing to the Exedy Hyper Single in the coming weeks. The Exedy seems to be a highly recommended option on TMO. Downside is the clutch/flywheel alone will set you back ~$900 shipped.
Many of us used the McLeod RXT and RST in our S197 5.0 cars early on but the Exedy Hyper Single looks like a better option for track use.
Call Team Beefcake Racing for their best price, they should discount further off their listed price of $984
I just ordered Exedy hyper single from Kohr Racing. It will be here tomorrow. With a OEM long throwout bearing.. should I get a after market one. They said they use it in their race cars. Total was 1303. I don’t think Beefcake stocked them when I looked.
I bought the Exedy throwout bearing, but it looks identical to the OEM - i'm sure either is fine. While i'm in there I also plan to replace the pilot bearing, install a JPC stainless clutch line and Ford Performance high RPM pulse ring.
I have a Steeda line coming. I called Exedy and they said theirs is the same as Ford. What is high rpm pulse ring ?
