Morning everyone
Just a follow up about how did my Splitter do in Thunderhill.
The day Before a friend had an issue with a similar size splitter (but with also front diffusers so more DF) so I went conservative And I trimmed 1" all around for a total of 5"
Also my spring were softer (500-600) so I didn't want to risk.
I used 3 AJ biscuits.
So first.
I was able to mount it in less than a minute. I brought 2 wood lumbers to raise the car up 2"
Slided in the splitter. Blocked with retaining bolts from under it. 2 fast release rods with pins. 2 side fast release cable with snap links.
So test passed
2. The splitter is still intact! I went twice 4wheels off ( i felt just a little too confident lol)
And only some little scratches. The biscuits worked outstanding absorbing the energy when the splitter touched the asphault( Thill has a hill where you go on at 85mph and really land after the car becomes super light)
So also here test passed
3. The combo with the APR250 worked well I had to set up the wing at 3° as AoA. (First session was 0) this proved me the splitter Does generate DF.
in turn 8 i was 10mph more as minimum( 105 vs 95)
4. It was 100°F out there. But I beat my PB by..2 seconds! (1.55.9 for the news ).so aereo works. At least seems the right direction.
Really happy.
Next upgrades
1. Side vents coming soon
2. Different central hood vent
3. Front diffuser
4. Bigger rear wing side plate
5. Install the new spring 600-850
Have a nice day
