Question about valve seating. With the valves setup with springs etc and the entrance to the valve full of gasoline, we see no leaks out of the valves on the combustion side. For an extra check, my mechanic blows compressed air at the combustion side of the valve, and if he has any bubbles appear it goes back to hand lapping the valve. So far all are ok except for one... Which he is working on now ... I always thought you just check with a dye and are ready to go. Is this bubble check a typical method? maked sense to me, but wanted to check
Well it worked out ok!! We don't race for fame or prize money!! Not even for free tires (no such thing down here).. I think its just because we like to have pretty girls tell us old farts that we did well........
