So multimatic feels that they don't need a divorced rear spring setup.
Not on the DHR, Not on the GT4 or on the GT3. So yeah, divorced spring isn't the way.

It will be interesting to hear how much improvement you feel over the JRI's that were on the car. Also, how much gain did you get from the new cams?
JRi's were toast. Having them rebuilt for resale soon. Had Zero N2 pressure in RF and LR. LF adjuster was frozen. Car was like a pogo at Sebring and I just knew it wasn't just the bumps. Power wise the car made same peak HP, just carried all the way to 8300 rpm. Torque was down 15 ft/lbs from 3500-5700 where the cross over took place and the GSC cams woke up. No benefit sadly over OEM/OZ tune. Will be swapping in a different set into my back up engine later this winter to try another grind. This motor will eventually get OEM cams or the new grind if it proves out.

Just curious, how often do the JRI’s need rebuilding?

So humor me a minute because I've seen so many people say the control arm isn't strong enough in that area to take a sprung load. Is the coil over shock just bolting in to the lower arm with the same standard two bolt crossbar that regular shocks use (I imagine on the multimatic, it's a cross bar through a heim joint with then the lower spring seat) or is there some type of reinforcement or plate down there? Sorry to be a pest. I know a picture is worth a 1000 words but I'd love to see how it attaches to a stock control arm. It's an awesome setup to invert the shock and put the spring outboard. I would much rather run a similar reinforcement plate up top and invert the shock like this.

Here is my mounting. This was originally used with my JRi setup which is very similar to the DSSV shown. The DHR has a similar mount made by Capaldi Racing but theirs is mounted above the arm and has a reinforcement plate that goes on the bottom. I have run mine for 4 years now in this configuration with up to a 1050 lb/in rear spring with zero issues. Considering the DHR parts are $106 for the top + $140 for the bottom part(not on Capaldi site), I decided tho stay with my tried and true Cortex pieces.rear shock mount.jpg
