Agree with Arizona, and my wife even liked the movie better than the book. The adaptation, shortened from the book, made minimal changes but, imho, it kept it to a reasonable length and lost nothing in the translation. Wife had to supposedly use the restroom when it was Enzo's time, but I was choked up more by another part of the movie -- will not state in case that is a spoiler for some who have not read the book?

Nice portrayal/part of the gentleman whose thoughts and racing tutelage was the part inspiration for the book, Kevin York - ex IMSA racer, and instructor for ProFormance Racing School at Pacific Raceways.

Ya gotta like the author, Stein , since he started racing Spec Miata about the same time I did , and those early days of the Class were phenomenal. Everyone's cars were so equal, that one tiny mistake would cause you to move backwards at warp speed.

Good movie for significant other, wife, etc., as both genders will love the show - unless they are cat people ,haha.

The Ferrari that was featured in the movie was at a local CnC "EuroSunday" today. Cool looking car. The owner, who is local, said the car came back cleaner after the movie shoot than it was before he shipped it to them.

Nothing like having a Ferrari at the event that is worth more than all the rest of the vehicles in the parking lot combined!!! Wow , and hope the drooling did not get all over the fresh wash and wax?

That Ferrari is not as valuable as you think. It's a 60's V12 and might have been a 365 chassis. At some point the car was shipped to Italy and a custom body was made for it but I don't believe by Ferrari. Anyway the last time it changed hands it was around $350,000 but I suspect it's value went up quite a bit with the movie release. This info is second hand so I don't claim it to be accurate.

It's not a 1957 250 TR that's worth more than the GDP of Greenland.

    And CnD has it wrong.

I haven't found any place around here that's showing it. Supposedly the base theater had it but it must have been very briefly. I'm so disappointed, I have to keep searching.

Was finally able to watch it yesterday. Heart wrenching but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Can't wait to drive again...

Great family movie. Between myself, my daughter and wife, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Some differences in the movie from the book. I wish my dogs would watch the video of my driving but they seem to be rather chasing a tennis ball or sleeping. Says a lot about my driving!!!

Since most of us don't take our dogs to the track, they turn up their noses at our cars. Balls first!

Oh we definitely do. We'll probably wind up bringing our new cat (kitten) too because she seems to have a taste for adventure. If you see a petting zoo in the paddock...that's us. Sorry (not really).

One of the reasonS I love trailering to the track is so that I can bring the puppers. Nigel goes with me everywhere. He sure gets excited when the trailer shows up or the race car starts.

He even has clued into the sound of the race car. I've been told he reacts when he hears the car go quiet on the race track. Man's best friend for sure.
