Re: Track Time
Okay, here is the first video. This is me following a friend in a highly modified Audi TT. I left the beginning, so you can get a sense of what kind of track this is. Because of the focal length of the GoPro, I look further away from the TT than I was and than I had hoped for the sake of the video. However, it is a good quality video and you should be able to watch it full screen with no problem.

Notes:
* I use all of the track better on exits than on entry. Sometimes, that is because I'm not a pro driver, other times, it is because the side of the track is lined with rocks and I didn't want to pelt the R8 behind me, nor jack-up my own car for no good reason.
* It looks smooth, but that is a bumpy track and I was flip-flopping around like a fish out of water. Some of the video where everything appears to be serene - I'm shitting myself thinking I'm about to bounce off the track.
* Speaking of fish, on some of the corners (especially the sharp downhill left), my car leans like a trawler returning with the day's catch. Also, watch for the brake dive.
Great comments, guys. Gary, hitting every 1000 marks in one lap IS the challenge, which among other things, keeps us coming back to chase that time. Dean, I totally agree with your comment about how improvements in one area can make it difficult in another. How was I supposed to hit all of my marks, when they moved? Like I said, that is all part of learning and part of the challenge. I know with a little more time I can build on what I learned.
The 2nd video will be from the camera on my car. If memory serves, it should have some interesting things on it.
