Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Installed the Watson Racing front lt weight bumper beam replacement with integrated tow hook and splitter turnbuckle attachement, Rear FRPP bumper beam replacement with rear tow hoook. I also installed the rear LS Pedastal Wing, Front Chin Splitter, New replacement GiroDisc Rings for the front, new Rotors for the Rear and installed new PFC Pads front and rear....OH, and installed my new custom race numbers!

She's ready for Track Season again! (Road atlanta on 6/21-6/22, Barber 8/2-8/3, Barber 9/20-9/21, and back to Road Atlanta in October and November).

Excited about the new AeroDynamics!

She has now been dedicated to FULL-TIME track car! Removing registration soon!

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Interior removed (except door panels, will do those here in the next day or so)

Still need to get after the sound deadening with a torch and scraper. Not looking forward to that.

Here is the Watson Racing blank center stack. I'll get around to relocating some gauges/switches there one of these days. HVAC system is still in the car, seeing how I manage without controls before deleting all of it. Both driver and passenger air bags are out. I'm still trying to remove the airbag from the steering wheel cover so I can put it back on the wheel.

Cut the rear bumper fascia to get rid of the factory exhaust openings. Very easy and cuts really clean.

A little exhaust work. Don't think I ever put up a picture.

I wish I could make it up there this year! Unfortunately it's not going to work out with my work schedule :-\ Race group looked fun last year...

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

What's the part number on that rear bumper bar? I have the front, might as well do the back. Searched but couldn't find the part number...

I ordered both of them through Watson Racing. The rear is definitely a FRPP part, and the front was a WR specific part number.. Not certain on the FRPP # for the rear though.

Installed H&R race springs. Car is about about 1/2" lower from where the P Springs were. Real good thing is I was able to get -2.75 degrees of camber now. Also lowered the rear LCA's to the lower mount point on the relocation brakets, now set to 4 degrees of incline. Also swapped front rotors and rear pads.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Looking good Pete. I look forward to your feedback on the new springs.

That's the MCS setup? Looking at that it looks like it will cost a bit more with all the extras. CorteX should have the single adjustable JRI's up on their website very soon. I checked out several dampers manufacturers at SEMA and JRI stood out in my mind. Not to mention they had free beer! :p

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

I've decided that when in ready I'm going to work with Pete at AutoSport CT and make the coilovers custom. They may be single adjustable or even non-adjustable, but custom vakved for the car and springs. Stay tuned.

Re: What did you do to your boss today?

Still considering Cortex too, Filip is cool, he blew my mind with shock theory at the SVT Superfest in 2013. Mark Wilson even had HIS head spinning.

I am considering the MCS double-adjustables towards end of this year as well. I can retain my existing rear adjustable spring setup but overall this still looks like $3800 OTD, plus corner balance & alignment.

What did you do to your boss today?

I was in the same boat (comparing MCS and JRi/cortex dampers). Once you spec some springs and camber plates for the MCS dampers (or omit some parts from Cortex's package), there in the same price range. Keep that in mind if you're interested in getting more room from the front Cortex struts. I prefer the adjustment dials and rear shock's stock upper mounting style of the MCS dampers though. You can never have it all :(
