How would they know it has been used on track? I am confused. (see full post)

Alright here is what yall have been waiting for. First TA event. It went well. Placed 4th out of 17 cars in a ultra competitive class. Grid Life Street mod. Basically the whole weekend time qualifies you for a podium sprint. Top 5 times go into...

Yeah this is pretty frustrating. Advice is to find a more track friendly Ford dealer that will go to bat for you. I’ll never do business with Earnhardt Ford again (see full post)

Update: Motor is in the car. Whipple is mostly assembled. Waiting on some more gen 5 whipple parts as they never put a gen6 in an s197. Anywho lots of outfitting to do with intercooler lines and hooking up all the harnesses and stuff.

Yep, it seems to just be the way it is. I have two separate distinct noises.1) The 2k warm up rattle. Pretty sure this is the pistons rattling in the bore during warm up. The engine has to be cold to warm under low load between 2-3k. Once...

Update on my tick. It's gone! It was caused by running rich due to a vacuum leak in my air intake tube after the MAF sensor! Fixed with electrical tape and zip ties! Working on a more permanent solution... but it sure sounds nice in here!

So the feedback on the 0w40 is the noise might be louder. Very distinctive, tapping at low throttle 2-3k. Tipping into the throttle makes it go away. The warmer the oil, the quieter.I am going with the cam phasers. To check my thought is to...

Figured out the noise -- it's piston slap aka the BBQ tick. I'm not gonna worry about it. One thing though -- when we first built the car my mechanic used Mobil 1 5W-50 for the first oil change. I didn't notice the noise at this time. More...

If you're been living at high rpm a lot, consider valve springs.

Well mine sounds like it's coming from the belt or pulleys. It's very light and you can only hear it from an angle. I noticed it recently when I had to stop for something and got out of my car while it was running. On the other side of my car was...

What are the symptoms? Random light ticking from under the car is typically called the BBQ tick. I heard that a few times from my car but it is very randomized. Some people it is more consistent. I think the leading theory is the big ends of...

Not like the one in the video. A few differences:Mine does not make the noise below 2k at any temp The frequency is much slower than what is in the video. The speed of the noise in the video is clearly from a crank event. The sound it less...

It's not just Ford. Toyota has been known to deny claims when your truck has been used off-road, even though you have the TRD Offroad or TRD Pro package. (see full post)

Have removed my struts plenty of times without taking the calipers or rotors off. Certainly means you have to "work around" them, but it's totally doable.

You get "some" that argue manufacturers "have to prove" a mod caused a failure to deny warrantee. And your not even modded. When they make a vehicle that literally has a "track mode", I don't see how Ford could win that one, if bone stock... (see full post)

Great looking Beast and all it needs now is a decal on the side for " TrackMustangsOnline , " ha! Do you run the CS in Time Trials or just use for fun whipping up on C5 Vettes? (see full post)
