2017 GT350R/Hoosier R7's
Barber Motorsports Park
1:40.61

Unfortunately, this was my only good lap of the weekend without traffic. After skipping multiple sessions due to having very little brake pad left up front, I decided I would wait for the happy hour session which usually has very little traffic especially on Sunday. However, most everyone went home before 2pm Sunday, and with only 4 cars on line for my group, I decided to give it a go. Did 1 warm up lap, and then three hot laps with no traffic, the car just seemed down on power, and i couldn't break a 1:42. On the fourth lap, the coolant temp warning light came on, the engine started to die, and smoke began billowing from under the hood. I quickly pulled off into the grass and shut it off. Turns out the A/C Compressor seized and knocked both belts off causing the car to overheat. Car has already been dropped off at the dealer. Been thinking of converting the car to a Base (deleting A/C) and this just makes my decision easier...

AJ neglects to add Turbo to the V6 portion of his car description. And some Aero while accurate doesn't quite describe the amount of skill and R&D put into it. Welcome AJ. Your input will be valued and well used here.

Made it back to Portland International Raceway a couple days ago for the first time with the V8 in the car. Added a Torsen and 3.73 a few night prior and couldn't be happier with how it did. Not the fastest thing out there, but man it is fun!

Ran Mid Ohio on full street tires (Pilot Super Sports - my wet/street tires) -- went 2 off in the last session at Pitt Race and although I kept it on track the spin ruined the 3 of the 4 Hoos R7's :(

Suprisingly my best time was a shade faster than the Boss on Conti slicks -- clear demonstration of how good the 350R Chassis is!

GT350R Stock on Full Street tires (PSS): 1:41.34

Just finished changing the Oil, got a new set of R7's mounted and will load the car tomorrow for a weekend with 3 Balls Racing at Grattan :)

Best lap this weekend at Summit Point was a 1:21:49, Sadly All I got in the car on fresh tires durring qualifying was about 10 laps. I feel I could have been in the 1:20's if not in the teens. Oh well over next year!
