So I just bought a Spec Miata last week...whoops ;D

Good news: I'll be attending 8/25-27 track days at Sonoma (this thread), and TH East & West the following days.

Bad news: I'll be bringing the Miata. This isn't really bad new though, since I want to play with my new toy :

I'd bring the Boss to Sonoma but don't want to drive back to Mountain View, just to drive up (towing) the Thunderhill afterward.

Looking forward to seeing everyone out there...including you dad 8)

I am working on finalizing all the travel plans for the contingent coming from AZ within the next week. Sent out draft plans to the core group today.
Hope to arrive to Sonoma the evening of 8/24 and camp/unload to be ready for 8/25.

Man I wish I was joining you guys, but I'm too busy this time of year to close my shop during the week.
Maybe next year this event will fall on a weekend. :

I will be at Thunder Hill on the 6th if anybody is still hanging out then.

Ok we're just over a month away. Please post if you're going, which group you're in and if you want a garage. The garages are typically $100 and can fit 2 cars nose to tail. I'll update the first post with who's going and if they want a garage. Let me know if you want to share a garage. Members are also welcome to hang out with us if you're not driving. We can probably get you a ride on track with other members.

I'll be there, Group D, no garage. +both THill days.

I'll have a few other stragglers from AZ, as well. I'm going to contact Sonoma and see if our group can set up the night before at the track (since we will be arriving on Wednesday afternoon). Hopefully that doesn't interfere with their drift/drag stuff that night.

I know most of the guys in this thread are "local" to Sonoma, but FYI for anyone that might want to camp at the track the night before:
The AZ contingent will be arriving on the afternoon of Wednesday, 8/24 and staging our rigs in LOT 2 just above and south of the main paddock.
Anyone that needs a place to park that night should be able to set up there. We will have some adult beverages on-hand as well, and probably be watching the Drift/Drags on Wednesday night at the track after we arrive.



Then we plan to move to the main paddock just after 6:00am on Thursday 8/25.
