ok... post Thanksgiving pictures of the feast at my sister's house... son's flat tire.. & broken dishwasher to boot... had fun despite me being sick for most of the day... Friday I grilled sausage for the gang...

This was interesting!! Kinda of a Sumo special. Stir fry on ramen, PLUS, a thick layer of leftover rice re-heated in the broth from the ramen. Starchy! but yummy. Food for the soul. Not to mention a Hot spring egg on top.

Rainy day here today…studying for finals all weekend…. Anyway, a now closed (thanks Coronavirus) Mexican restaurant El Palacio (est. 1969…same as I) that Holly and I both frequented as children and into adulthood had a dish, Cinco Special. Simple dish, bean and cheese nachos with jalapeño slices. We occasionally make it now at home. The key is the beans. Nothing beats the original…

Duuuuuude! That looks phenomenal. I’ve recently taken on the challenge of pecan pies. I’m trying to perfect the filling. I’m not there yet…when I do I’ll post pics.
