It's funny timing. A few have posted kitchens lately. I'm in the slow process of retrofitting a family members old granite counter top in my kitchen. Got the most critical part cut for the sink. A little at a time here and there until I have the pull the old sink then full throttle . I'm not going without a kitchen sink for a month...20240925_182344.jpg20240925_185347.jpg20240928_162837.jpg

Yeah no sink is rough, I put in a temporary janitor type sink for a month or so while we waited for our counters to be prepared, overall we were without a proper kitchen for almost 6 months due to an inspector that was a royal pain in the ass

A kitchen upgrade is a major deal!!!!!!!!!!....You guys have NO or little say in this even tho you're paying for it!!!!!!!!!!!.....We had a small eat in kitchen before the remodel, now we have smaller walk thru kitchen.............more counter space was needed and I didn't even know it!!!!!!...As long as the stove and oven work I'll be happy....Thank God for the living room and dining room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Naaaa it doesn't work that way. We don't really have more room to work with so no major moving things around. I'm doing the planning and work so it's basically going with what I come up with unless there's a little something tossed out that might look better. It's spend a few grand or work with the granite that we're getting for free and the cost of a sink, faucet, a little plumbing parts, couple masonry blades and silicone caulking. I even grabbed a free wood rack that was made out of 1x3"s for the wood for anything that I need to rebuild under the counter. I have a saying when done with something. "It's better than it was....". Usually way better depending on visual esthetics or safety.
