I guess they like those yellow cars.... Curious what the time spread between 1-7 is.Well, qe are now 7th fastest in the last practice. Top 5 are BMW, then an Aston Martin
Too much restriction!!! That's a 258 ft advantage over 1 lap @approx 110 mph average 3.5 mile track. A little over 5 laps is a quarter mile. Internet converters helped me.....They made a gelding out of pur race horse!!
Qualified 8th. 1.6 second slower than the pole BMW.
Our last year's car was faster
That’s a bunch of BS and I don’t mean black sheep-1. As a just fan of racing, this is the NFL version of the script (aka fix) is in. Best of luck to Kohr team to overcome sectioned obstacles.
Tell the fellas to blast this one!Well, we're annoying the hell out of our BMW neighbors..
Don't get me started...So I’m still learning about racing but I don’t understand this BoP issue. How can a team with bigger pockets sway how their car is evaluated(not sure of term…maybe tech’d)? Using the BMW cars for example…why make the faster cars slower when the slower cars can work to be faster? Can’t the BMW cars do something whether it be a tune or less restriction to catch up to the mustang?
Something doesn’t add up to me.
It's not just about how much money needs to be given to the sanctioning body, but if the higher end Euro brands don't win or perform well, they won't participate in the series and it will dry up. Unfortunately, teams also sandbag during practices and then run hard during qualifying. This is the first race of the year and it happens nearly every year. The fact that Luca beat the shiznit of them last weekend during the VP Challenge race probably had a lot to do with the restrictions. Race conditions are different and it's a fairly long race so let's hope that the Kohr guys planned for the long game.I've long believed IMSA is just a bunch of BS. They use BOP to get their desired winner. Fake racing? One wonders how big a cheque needs to get written to get decent BOP.
