Had a great race going with Jimmy Greco in the BMW. We were very closely matched and that f****r is as aggressive as I am. We swapped questionable passes back and forth a few times. A lot of drivers might have been unhappy but he and I were in our happy places. Great race. Unfortunately and unbeknownst to me, they shortened the race to 12 minutes and we didn’t get a chance to finish our business. I figured we had 25 minutes and I was saving my tires for a surprise pass in the second half and suddenly they threw the white flag. What? White flag now? I had to settle for second place. But I had the best race of the season with a guy that was up to the task at hand. A very pleasant surprise. This is what we race for.

This was the end of the weekend as my car was being checked out by a photographer.
Its a race car not a show car...race cars have flaws and for a race car it still shows pretty good.

Dang , did you guys really think I was serious about the track and bug vomit on the front of Fab's GodzillaStang?! Just kidding as the pics are great and agree with ChrisM, they do have an old Trans Am feel to them. Thanks for the Black and White shot , Fab, it is fabulous.

If you like B/W photos there are a ton of them in here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/NvZd8Y72SShpZuY28
Going to do another big photo dump in there later today when the photographer sends me the latest pics from Laguna Seca. Should have another photo dump Sunday from Thunder Hill tomorrow.

I bet that beamer has a new respect for s197s
That beemer beat me....well, he finished ahead of me because the race was shortened to 12 minutes.
But yes, he came over and we talked...he was impressed.

The black and white shots seem to mirror the sky and micro climate from the Monterrey Peninsula one gets at Laguna Seca's close proximity to the ocean. That said I have only run at Thunderhill on the original course and I would bet there will be plenty of shots in the rolling hills of the full 5 mile length track -- hope you get to run it's entirety?

Well, Thunderhill was a bust.
Another power steering failure sent us home after the first session. This is the 3rd failure and I’m sick of it.

Time for an electric rack.

One thing I learned about this track, the road disappears…a LOT. If you don’t already know where you’re going you could be in the weeds in half a second. Wish I had more laps to learn this track but nooooo…

So instead we’re having breakfast at round table….drinking pizza and eating beer.

And yes, that’s pineapple on my pizza….don’t like it? Fight me.
