I wrote to MMR about the head cooling kit interfering with the crank sensor and this was the reply:

Hello Sal,
That is the normal fit. That is the only way to get the head cooling mod on the engine. They will work great like that.

Got lots done today....we're getting close!

Had to make a stainless steel adapter hose but I was able to use the junction for the 3 valve degas bottle to fill from the stock lower radiator hose. Straight out of the radiator and into the electric water pump. No thermostat or goofy bypass hose. Just like with my 3 Valve, I'll warm the motor with the pump off and then flick it on when I see temp.
The stock 3 valve upper hose fit perfectly without modification once the bypass hose was tossed.
