The Revolution Auto photo looks like the right CAI and again need to make some calls to find out it truly is allowing enough air.

PowerBoss - Guessing from your photo, you have done this exact mod. I went to the PBH site and it appears the sell a JLT CAI. Is that what you have?

Hi,

Yes, I did have that intake (traded the beast in). It is not a JLT, they do a custom intake.

So, does it handle as well as your xboss?

Even though I transferred a lot of the Steeda parts to Shelby and lowered it, the Boss was still more agile...BUT, the power is just amazing. I am tuning in 2 weeks at Power by the Hour so hoping to break the 800 RWHP.

so, i have to ask you manuel...now that the boss is gone, would you put big cams in if you did it all over again?

i think this question resonates with a lot of folks. we are all in love with the idea of big NA power, but most of us drive on the street as well and don't want to sacrifice street-ability for max power. i see a lot of lightly used comp cams stage 2 and 3 on the market these days. since its not an easy thing to take out of a running engine, there has to be a BIG reason to remove them.

On the Shelby, I will not be doing cams…there really is no need in my opinion since you can get more power doing other mods. If I would have another Boss, yes I would do it all over again, the drivability is just a question of tuning. Ken at POWER BY THE HOUR did an awesome job dialing the car in and as you all know this was my daily driver. I put 33,000 mi on the beast of hardcore street driving and one two day event at Sebring.

I think Steve should be getting his soon ;D

Already have it, running data logs today to send to Shaun at AED to get my tune. Install should be done this weekend. I have both the Ford Racing CAI and the Rev Auto 5" CAI. I don't know which to use. Also Shaun only writes tunes for the Monoblade SCJ throttle body so I had to buy that, I have a Twin 65 mm CJ that I will sell for $500 shipped if any one is interested, this is the one Ford ships on the Aluminator XS crate engine and what they spec in the CJ manifold instructions.
