GT350 North American Track Tour

I'm driving my Boss and I'm about 230 miles from the track. Fuhrius and I will be there with our 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 Laguna Fecas. ;D

Why don't we plan on the Hacienda Mexican restaurant at 6:30. It's right down the street from the Salinas Marriott on Davis.

Did Lime Rock today. 3 laps and 2 as ride along. Car was awesome. Particularly enjoy the early morning when the instructors (mostly from MILLER) warmed up the cars. They took off as an 8 car group (4 base and 4 R's) and the sound just echoed off the Connecticut hills.

I drove an R and couldn't get to grasp it in 3 short laps. I do know turn in was awesome, it handled the curbs very well and the brakes had great bite. We only had passenger car seat belts and it was a wild ride. Harness has got to be on the list for buyers.

Had a few good talks with ford reps. There were even some employees there that had registered as they were boss and gt500 owners as well. They were fully aware of ADM issues and said no limit in years right now so once the "guys who will pay what it takes" have them it'll settle down.

Wish all could have attended. It was a great experience and I got to talk with some pretty nice owners. I'd guess 40+ BOSS cars showed up. One white, one GB, a few others and like 20 yellows!

I just received a call from Ford offering me a spot on Monday, 10/12, @ Sebring. Unfortunately no can do at this time. He did say next years schedule should be out later this month. I'm cheering and hoping for COTA!

At Lime Rock they had go pros mounted in the cars. No opportunity to bring our own set up. The Ford rep said they would compile a vignette and we would receive a flash drive with driving and hot lap video as well as other highlights in a few weeks.
Not sure if there was any forward facing video - didn't see any forward facing cameras.

I didn't see any forward facing camera either, and that's what I would be more interested it. I hope there were cameras around the track somewhere. They did note which car we were in, so maybe there will be some video of the car on track.

I received my Lime Rock track tour flash drive from For Performance.
After watching it, I realized I had the same sh*t eating grin I had the day of the track tour!!
Nicely done with a mix of video clips from the day which included our in-car drive & ride laps as well as our exit interview.
Reminds me again how much I want one.
Just need to wait out the ADM's.

I am looking at neck protection and just wanted to ask if anyone here knows if the units they used were the Simpson Hybrid sports. I was too absorbed in the experience to even notice or take the video/pictures that I wanted... I am considering them over the HANS since they can supposedly be used with a 3-point. That would allow me to upgrade slower and use it for ride-alongs in other cars.

I think it's a solid option. The Simpson device was made and designed by another company and has been around a while before Simpson bought them.

I just checked my email & saw I got an invite for the next round in the tour..the closest track to me being Pocono. The email was sent at 7:51 pm today. I responded to register at 9:00 & was informed the event has been filled (all 4 tracks)....Man that was quick!!!!!!!

I woke at 4:30 AM PST and tried to register, could not, at 5:30 AM I called the Ford Motorsport number and the guy told me they were having a computer problem, said he would call me when they were up and running, he called me back about 45 minutes later and said it was good to go! I got registered for Phoenix for March 22nd.
